It is congested however try 88 to 89Mz there got some breathing space. advise you is to disconnect the aerial when playing your mp3.

I personally use 99.7Mhz. The signal still depend on the quality of the FM modulator itself. So far I already tested 4 brand, 2 is OK. Redfox and vztec one of the best. Another one is look similar to Redfox but has bad signal. The first ever tested is the one that use AAA battery. The signal OK but the sound quality is same as AM band radio (not FM quality at all).

sorry bump such old thread, but i noticed the 107 and higher region, the sound becomes very light on bass and treble, and the mids sound like it comes from a tin can.
where as 88-98 mhz it sounds good and faily balance. but still i find it damn hard to get a perfect lock on a good frequency...all of them have some interference once in a while |

well, redfox or vztech all using the same thing, they are all from the same OEM manufacturer in china
just that the respective brand bring it over and put their own brand |

QUOTE(jazzy939 @ Jan 14 2010, 11:51 PM) 88.3Mhz? I'm from Klang Valley too, to be precise Petaling Jaya Kota Damansara area, okay i'll try later... thanks!I'm using the Redfox FT44, sounds not bad below 98Mhz , but the frequency i use 94.9Mhz, there will be interefrence quite often... I cant seem to find the best frequency, might be because my car is tall, and i extend the antenna fully, sometimes i can even hear radio stations from other states (same station but diff frequency) Do I need to lower my antenna? my car is quite tall so maybe that's why... toyota rav4 + extend my antenna + pioneer Super Tuner technology thing = can receive signals from mars already? ==' The CD player of the unit spoiled already, aiming for major upgrade which is a few months away, so have to live with this 1st ; ) QUOTE(chicaman @ Jan 15 2010, 12:30 AM) well, redfox or vztech all using the same thing, they are all from the same OEM manufacturer in china is it? but i tried a vztech a week ago, sounds like walky-talky qualityjust that the respective brand bring it over and put their own brand This post has been edited by andrew9292: Jan 15 2010, 05:18 PM |

Sometimes the tuner can be an issue.
If you have 'DX' or 'LOC' switch, put it in 'DX' mode.. do experiment, it could be 'LOC' for best signal for your tuner.. I am using a Blaupunkt stock unit. The sound is superb.. but at times the Redfox transmitting frequency will drift a bit around 0.5Mhz.. just a tap on the up/down tuning button will fix it. Well at least in my car it does! I just bought this ciplak brand from ENEOS auto mart in Jusco Kepong. It is a carbon copy of Redfox transmitter.
It cost me RM28. First time using it, too much noise and hissing sound. Kind sucks. And it doesnt display the song name. I wonder if Redfox display the song and artist name? |
