I don't put them on their sides because they takes up more space in that way.

All my lens is placed front cap up. However, I've seen some of the camera shops putting lens front cap down instead.

QUOTE(empire23 @ Jun 17 2008, 07:23 AM) I just campak the lenses in random directions and place them in random locations. You're one of the most carefree photographer I ever knew. Hehe.. The "campak-ing" and the spitting on mirror. You're the one who made me relieved since you showed that our cameras can take our abuses. If after paying so much for the damned things and they can't stand me putting them upwards, downwards or in whatever position i like, it must be a shitty lense. QUOTE(timothyy @ Jun 17 2008, 08:32 AM) Do you have dry cabinet to store them? I don't have a dry cabinet. I shoot almost everyday everywhere. Especially these few days, the places that I've been shooting is extremely hot and sunny. I doubt I can live under such condition, and so I guess those fungus can't too. So far none of my lens have fungus yet. Well, I guess for hobbyist, you need dry cabinet and properly store the lenses as you don't use it everyday everytime. For me, I can't store them upright as the cabinet is too small and all my lenses are giants except my fisheye. QUOTE(surferx @ Jun 17 2008, 08:55 AM) Up to your preference.QUOTE(TheVoIP @ Jun 17 2008, 09:08 AM) The answer is obvious, sleeping horinzontal is the best if it is possible. Really? I'm going to put all horizontal if this is true.It is one of the way to 'minimise' fungus staying on the glasses elements. |
