got one myself just now. speaking from an ex-owner of E61 and E61i... huge improvement on the physical size! i can't believe it's so sleek and compact.
well.. the keypad abit loose.. compare to E61i.... E61i has the best ever QWERTY in nokia E-series.

here some pics for your thirst!

zad78,
this is normal for phone GPS or aGPS (which lock position faster with assist of GPRS to nokia server), i really do not trust GPSed phone... despite i hv great experience with 6110 navigator.. but the info and the details.. really uncomparable to my Garmin nuvi 200... it's cheap and super fast + easy to use, with plenty of info.

almattitude_v1,
got it at sg wang, 1st floor. CT phone s/b.. i think the kiosk name.. 1.8k + free 2GB

actually.. to be honest... at first.. when i saw the actual unit.. i was like... shxts... so small.. so sleek! is this the replacement for E61i or what??

the size is almost similar to my E51 **yess.. this little monster perform damn well** slightly wider... but shxt!! it's slimmer than E51... with GPS.. 3.2mp AF camera.. WIFI... and HSDPA... with its new freescale cpu **faster than E90** and the super zippy performance.. i would say slightly faster than E51.. despite more "interface instructions" are needed to support the QWERTY buttons.

for 1.7k.. i hv nothing to complaint.. as i got my E61 at rm1788 as well previously. extra pound in weight.. and extra wider to hold without any camera. smile.gif

another thing to add, i think all E-series.. has very useful LCD screen... under direct sunlight.. u still be able to read the text clearly. smile.gif

i hv a different view on e51. i hv owned 2 iphone before, yes.. it got the wow-effect.. but that doesn't last long. UI is intuitive enough... try to delete the sms in bulk which is impossible in iPhone. the super duper safari browser was great bundled.. powerful enough to offer you an desktop web browsing experience.. but you can't download a thing with it.

e51 is a realy snappy symbian s60 device. my e51 still serve me as main phone as of now, e71 is on my desk... will switch over to it once my screen protector is arrived.

switching app to app in e51... is really zippy. wifi, bt, hsdpa, 3g all packed into one small little phone. i hv 3 email a/c sync. simultanously with e51... it performs really well.

you should get your e51 firmware update.. if you feel your e51 is slow laggy.

a smartphone like this under rm1k, i really hv nothing to complaint. just my 2 cents.

Raven_lee,

go to your messaging setting -> email -> your_mail_box_name -> connection settings -> incoming/outgoing email (for both) -> access point in use -> set to Always ask.

so it would prompt for connection, whenever u trigger to pull the email. whether by 3G/GPRS or via WIFI... the choice is yours.

all s60 devices will automatically preset the telco's settings when you slot in your SIM card. u need not to configure anything cox it will do it automatically for you. (the same goes to communicator series 9300/9300i/9500)
suggest you go to maxis centre for assistance, if you hv tried using maxis 3g mms connection profile for MMS but still not able to use it.

e71 is snappier than e65... A-GPS is built-in... few tap on the keypad to enable/disable it. locking GPS is kinda fast too.. if were to compare to 6110 navigator. so far.. so good... good performer.. i was upgrading from e61 -> e61i -> e71... stability is there... but sometime i notice during the phone call.. if i want to switch application in between... the device doesn't perform anything but just giving me a stand-still standby screen... only after i ended the call.. then everything back to normal again...

but.. as usual.. i reboot my e71.. every morning.. just to get the memory buffer refresh.... common thing for smartphone/pda phone. smile.gif

my garmin 200W is really disappointing. always problem locating satellites. i suspect it could be my car's vkool tint.
damn!

GPS uses frequency to retrieve satellite signal... i doubt your vkool could block frequency as well.. if it does... you will be having problem to make phone calls in ur car d. smile.gif
