haha. as for me, i buy ori set coz i feel confident with it of coz. and much more important thing is coz i live in kelantan and study in uniten bangi. so, if i buy it at kl and the phone suddenly breaks down when im in kelantan, i can just go to kelantan nokia service centre to repair it.

QUOTE(scofield @ Nov 6 2008, 04:08 PM) guys, where should i save my ringtones in the memory card if i want to use it for my contacts? cause right now i save it in a folder but i cant set the tones for my contacts.. i assume that u cant even find those ringtones even if u try to set it using profile for ur general ringtone right?try this : in ur memory card, for all MP3 that u want to make them as a ringtone , place them in the folder Sound Clips/Digital Tone. which is inside that digital tone folder. |

yeah. can someone list down the differences or the features that are updated in this new version?
currently, im scared to do any update to ORI set E71. not because of the firmware, just that im using celcom D68 package here in my college UNITEN and i think there;s high possibility that i will get DC in the middle of the update process and end up crash my phone OS badly |

QUOTE(faizpsp89 @ Nov 13 2008, 03:42 PM) But the thing that makes me sad is the headset..Previously i was using the N95..The headset was awesome..But the E71 headset seem like something was missing..N i just found out that the missing part was the Bass...The E71 headset is just rubbish(need to get a stereo bluetooth headset )...Btw,do they sell 2.5mm->3.5mm converter? QUOTE(jameslee_84 @ Nov 13 2008, 06:03 PM) N-series and E-series cater to different group of users. I can see that headset is one of your important requirements when u buy a phone, maybe u should get another phone as I understand that E71 headset is crappy as it caters to business class which utilise the connectivity and email function, but for music purposes, I'm on Ipod. im using my itech s38 i bought a year ago for my n73(dead already) with RM100 plus philip headset with 8gb memory card. i can put on hold my desire to buy ipod touch or ipod classic as our e71 comes with wifi and stuffs |

QUOTE(jameslee_84 @ Nov 18 2008, 02:41 PM) GPS will consume your battery faster. if normal usage of just calls and sms, mine can last me up to 5 days. even wifi-ing, listening to music and videos in between, it would still be able to last me about 3 days. But if gps is activated, max i'm guessing is maybe few hours only. people who have reviewed it states that it will be about 14hrs GPS with E71 before u run out of batt. Its still the record time for GPS usage as none other phone can use longer than that. OMG, ive done it for 5 to 7 times already coz when i saw my battery was about 4 or 3 bars left i charged it and took it out on the next morning before going to class. i always scare not to charge even the battery is still 3 bars left coz i thought it cant survive from 8am to 4pm during my class hour coz i might use it to check mail, listen to music via bluetooth etc2, no?As an advise, i have been using it for like nearing 2 months but I have charged my phones 9 times only. How i do it, don leave your charger switch on when charging is completed and never charge your phone overnight. The latter rule is essential if u want to prolong your phones battery life. |

QUOTE(shockk @ Dec 11 2008, 09:08 PM) When the phone is locked, u can press and hold the dpad middle button to show the time with backlighting. that wont work on mine i thhink, it has something to do with my setting coz u see , i forgot where i did that but i change the power setting to minimize my battery usage coz im using bluetooth headset. (eg:the light will goes off after 1 second or 2, the breathing light is disabled etc2) |
