HI there, i just got a call from RBC for an interview for the position of Fund Accountant. I've been reading before about the job descriptions and salary and etc, but what are the future job prospects as a Fund Accountant in RBC? I mean does it involve basic mass data processing with NAV Calculations ?

Does a Fund Accountant in RBC involves learning of funds and how do we cater the funds according to the needs of the investors
will We actually directly get involved in fund proposals/managing or its merely jus entering the "already" managed funds' transactions into the system?

What are the job prospects in the long term? Can the Fund Accountants try to start for a career in the Banking Industry locally in Malaysia or will we be only competent in Fund Managing Shared Services Centre like the one in RBC Cyber? Does a Finance Background is necessary for this job or actually can anyone with a any degree discipline be competent with the work as long as they undergo the training provided?

Any1 with experience working here, please respond as if Im selected they want me to start the training next monday! Thanks alot notworthy.gif
