Anyone currently in fund acct can comment on what its like? Many ads on jobstreet recently. Thinking of giving it a shot.

As an ex-Fund Accountant from RBC, there's only one reason why any company would start mass hiring. I worked there for a year and I hated it and appreciated at the same time. Good place to train your mindset of not feeling self entitled cause of the inhumane working hours. Good pay tho.

Heya, if you don't mind sharing, what did you move on to afterwards? does the job not end on time? How much did they offer?

A shared services ultimate goal is to maximize worker efficiency with minimal cost. I used to work 15 hours everyday, never complained about it cause I took it as paying my dues for something better, and it paid off. It sets you apart from the new whining generation. They compensate your long working hours with OT & bonus, more than you expected. I've moved on to treasury now, more responsibilities and less routine, the reason why I could handle the pressure it's because I started with something even more stressful.
