yeah KL has been good for me. A much welcomed break for a month and allowed me to get back into gaming once again! lolx. However, end of this month gotta go back to work, haiz.. hope can make it back b4 xmas for another 1 month break hehehe
i did intend to go, and was watching at the forum for any last minute update and indeed, there was a last minute update... on the thread title some more... oh well, did meet up with one of the LYN WoW player yesterday on Cairne
well, kinda got the feeling that 2x meeting that close is not good for a lot of ppl. expensive prices for ppl who aren't working with good jobs. even finding a place for a mamak meet is not easy as ppl have difficulty in getting there or finding the place.
KL/Selangor is not exactly easy on the pockets for most people living there. The traffic jams, cost and hassle of taking public transportation and finally the cost of the food, will have a lot of people complaining.
I'm more or less stuck in Damansara Indah. Was thinking maybe going to one of the Mamak stalls but somewhere with aircon (the one criteria I usually ask for). The heat in KL is worst than in Kuching. I like the Kayu Restaurant at Mutiara Damansara, opposite Damansara Indah. But only reason is because it's pretty hard to get out to Damansara. Calling a taxi is not easy because they usually don't want to go outside of Damansara citing jams, etc.

well remi, frm ur place to kayu in d'sara is nearby lah no traffic jams also. PLus ppl who wanna get there not difficult too cos can come thru the LDP or even thru the road to subang airport cut across the LRT depot. heheh
im also hurting on pocket (especially after that rm250 figure ) with a buncha gatherings attended... but im still able to come if this wasnt cancelled. though on preference side im more glad that it was cancelled

Missed the previous one since I had to attempt some papers, as stated previously. Next one, I should be there, as long as it doesnt coincide with my hopefully 'not so busy schedule' then.
Btw that char you have, Quaza, looks like Red Monica from Battlechasers by Joe Mad. Is it?
And, judging by the pictures by A Tong, it's AT LEAST semi pro level. I'd presume you have them shot by an SLR, judging from my ever limited photography knowledge.

Ah, should have guessed it's from your enthusiasm in anime and mechas. I do watch anime, but never have gotten excited over robot-themed animes.
Battlechasers was once a hot comic title by Image comics, but it slowed down since the artist/writer cannot draw/write fast enough for a montly appearance. Then it eventually died off, unfortunately. Since it's quite old, I cant be bothered to find the links, but if you want to check out the similarity of Red Monica with Yoko Ritona, you could easily just google Red Monika.

Every few months or so, I drop by KL. So I usually arrange to meet up with a few people. Just that this one was too close to the last nite and ppl suffered pinch pockets from the previous one. So it got called.

LOL! We're kinda a Motley Crew tbh.
But generally, it's quite a healthy mix of high-end content raiders with some new players as well. We don't all always talk about WoW but again, depends on the crowd.
And there is still one cask of port and one bottle of white wine to be drunk. Those are still not done from the last event.
