Hi all, I have recently updated my ps3 to firmware 2.35. It supposed to enable ps3 to decode dts HD MA in BD. But how do I kbnow that my ps3 has been enabled to this function. I have check under sound setting via HDMI, it does not list DTS HD or DOLBY HD in its listing. I have also tried set audio BD setting to bitstream to see whether my onkyo 605 DTS HD signal will light to confirm it send DTS HD audio signal to my receiver. It does not light up. Anyone know how to confirm this function or may advise me how to best set up my ps3 and receiver to get best audio during BD play. Thanks

The DTS-HD indicator on your Onkyo will not light up because the decoding is done internally on the PS3 and the decoded signal is then sent to the Onkyo as a multichannel PCM. To determine if your PS3 is decoding the DTS-HD signal, just press the SELECT button on your PS3 controller to bring up the On-screen display.
