Well, I don't have the Windows Disk with me cos' Lenovo only supply every new PC with their Rescue & Recovery Disc only. The PC I tried to repair is running on Windows XP but the original factory setting is set to Windows Vista Basic. I'm not sure weather my Rescue & Recovery Disc isn't working its revocery for Vista Basic cos' it doesn't scan any Vista OS in the HDD.

Added on June 14, 2008, 12:04 pmI tried the OS so-called Rescue & Recovery Full OS Recovery Disc but the problem occur after I click No when it requested for Supplementary Disc.

Well, its a Windows Vista Basic OEM version but unfortunately the company that I'm working for doesn't have any OEM Windows Vista CD/DVD to install. That's the problem now arises.

Thank You for your information. I'll try it 1st then I'll post back a comment if its working or not. Wish me Luck, Bro.

Added on June 16, 2008, 11:08 amI downloaded the HD diagnosis program to check my HD health. So far there isn't any faulty to it.

I tried reformatting the harddisk to NTFS. Default 232GB ( 250GB Orginal space ). Use the Recovery Disc to reinstall but to no avail. Usually you get two partition in the harddisk stated [ IBM_Service ] EISA Configuration & another partition is used for [ IBM_Preload ]. The [ IBM_Service ] takes only around 5GB.

For the Harddisk that I formatted to NTFS. I gave it two partition that is Drive D: & Drive F: 1) Drive D - 5GB , 2) Drive F - 228.40GB . when I install the Recovery Disc, the system goes into Drive D & thats normal. I tried as follows :

DVD 1 - Start Recovery Disc
DVD 2 - Operating System Revocery Disc
DVD 3 - Applications and Drivers Recovery Disc
* Note : I don't have any supplementary Disc as my model is Vista version.

DVD 1 - 3 works well during installation but when it asked me to insert Supplementary Disc if there's any, I click No as I was told that Windows Vista version doesn't need any supplementary Disc to install in the user manual book. Then the Error message came in as follows once I click "No".

MPARSE.EXE - Application Error

The Instruction at 0 x 10038957 reference memory at 0 x 00000014. The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

* When I press OK *

Error Message as follows :

RECCD32.

The System cannot find the path specified

Worst still, when I unplug my harddisk & I plug it into my PC ( make it into secondary drive ) . I saw that the second partition that I formatted earlier that is Drive F - 228.40GB become .RAW . What does it means? My Harddisk is faulty? or is it normal during installing Recovery Disc?

Any help is highly respected... icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Added on June 17, 2008, 4:51 pmLast but not least, I've sent the HardDisk to Warranty.... Thanks anyway Guys FYI. I'll keep that for future usage.

Cheers...
