QUOTE(dothackRAVE @ Jun 13 2008, 02:08 PM) Ya lor hor..., I forgot about that. Used to my RX-8's 18 inchers already don't cry if you kena tapau by a k3VET equipped kenari on BOTH straights and corners. If like this..., I wonder if I can just fit a 6pot caliper? I'll go check later, see how much space got. Eh, this will be a pure straight line car. Idea is to BLAST down the straights, hard on brakes, then turn. Rinse and repeat. I expect loads of mad torque steer, understeer and might be difficult to control. But who cares? End up faster than Type-Rs I believe. Plus, IIRC, the Sentra came with adjustable suspension. The suspension "broke" once, send into service, say not broke, so only retune the suspension, and it works fine again. Dunno leh? |

that's the thing. if you're only thinking about straightline performance, forget about BOT. sure it has the power, but reliability? don't forget, its still a company car secondly, i doubt the new sentra is able to fit older generation engines, although you can always use custom mounts, its still a company car. Lastly, the civic FD2R is built for racing, and even with a souped up sentra that weighs about the same, its comparing apples to oranges as his car is essentially stock from the factory.

QUOTE(dothackRAVE @ Jun 13 2008, 03:27 PM) Ya. But I'm building this car to prove a point to the TS in that thread. He wants to convert a 1.8 Civic to a "TepR". Want to show him that you can use 15k to make a 1.8 FASTER than a Type-R, rather than waste money on useless body kits. lol with 15k, any wira can be as fast than type-r with the proper mods you can try trial. they have support from trial japan, although mutiara motors who is official Greddy arm in Malaysia can help you too. imho, impul only specializes in bodykits. their cars are tuned from japan, and legally speaking, after the AP fiasco, the company has winded down. or maybe you can also try RS impressive. they have an...erm, impressive range of tuned cars that even local garages wont dare to touch. a volvo wagon, for instance. brembos are not as expensive as spoon or endless. 4-lug kits are rather 'cheap'
