Get anything but a normal HTC Touch. The first gen has a lot of flaws in the Touch Screen, and its very unresponsive after some time. smile.gif

Well, i`ve noticed the only flaw is the laggyness... be it Touch, Touch double mem, or viva. Real slow

first i m not asking for device recommendation but i would to understand my basic needs on PDA phone...
the main and basic things for me to get a pda phone is just to connect to internet via operator or wifi anywhere anytime...
so can i connect to internet using 3G service and wat is the rate?
or a normal nokia will do the job? how bout the convenience? a pda phone is better?

HTC Touch First Gen brand new i think around 1k. its old dude. dun get mixed up with HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro

@siksa, in terms of resolution and power, for now the best device for gaming is HTC Touch Pro. Go grab a second hand one, with warranty.

Otherwise HTC Touch Diamond. Gaming power is the same as Touch Pro but no keyboard so some games u will find it harder to play, especially PS games

The P565 has some Marvel graphics acclerator thingy if I`m not mistaken, but one thing`s for sure, it beats the crap out of the TD in games

yes it has 3D Ati acceleration, and it does improve gaming related capaibilities.

i cannot vouch for P565's marvel processor capabilities as i havent tried it. but i do know that just because it sounds good doesnt mean it is. example is o2 flame's Nvidia's chip, which ended up useless as PDA games simply didnt use it.

so not saying its bad or good, but u'll have to put a stress test on it to really know

@Hitotsu, HTC Tytn2 fits all your needs, but u can get a good second hand touch pro as well, consider it. despite being second hand it is vastly superior
*
Thanks.. i wonder how much is that htc pro currently...

It is also about software implementation. If u google TD vs P565, in benchies (3D and gaming) , the P565 beats the TD

booster and shaun (and others)

Let's say there is a X1 selling for $530-580 and a HTC Touch Pro for $550-600

Which would be a better choice? Actually both the models have wat i want, touchscreen + physical keypad.. but being a first time WM user, i have no idea which model is actually better

SE has a better screen resolution but the Touch Pro has a better overall build, software and hardware. (Like integrated TF3D, magnetic stylus etc.)

The decision is still yours to make. A better screen resolution or a better overall quality.

Design style wise, I prefer X1 but some may prefer Touch Pro so it is better for you to decide yourself.

Do u want to play games on ur PDA? If so, get the TP.

Do u want to watch movies on ur PDA? If so, get the X1.

Overall, I prefer the X1 as it has a wide screen. Built quality should be the same (almost) as both are HTC made.
