Hong Kong retailers selling Assembly blu-ray for HK$210 (RM88 at today's rate). Play-Asia selling for HK$217 (RM91). Not much difference.

How much is amazon uk's price? May be cheaper from PA including shipping.

Anyway, no la .... where got just buy one BD .... it came along with some other stuff i bought at amazon.

Just to share with the guys here my personal observation. You guys in MY are lucky insofar as movies goes. U get to watch first-run movies faster than here in HK. Sometimes, we only get to watch it a few weeks after the world premiere. And also, watching movies here not cheap leh .... costs me on average HK$60 (RM24) per ticket. So imagine for a family of 3, sometimes more worthwhile to just buy the BD and watch at home, esp for those movies that don't require the "full cinematic experience". Only thing is that at home, the audio cannot ON full blast only la.

The STR-DG1000 never found its way to HK. I believed I PM-ed you last time saying I finally ended up with a Denon, no? Any signs of a weakened AV market? Doesn't seem like it .... latest models of most Denon and Yamaha AVRs are all on minimum one-month wait list. Other brands I dunno.

Fair comments, that's why I mentioned that my comment relates to movies only. It is unfortunate that the console manufacturers do not accord due recognition to ori gamers in MY.

The amazon $30 for 2 promo didn't work when I checked out my order just now. No discount given. Will try again later.

The PA sales is only for those items with the octopus logo. I believe it's not for all items. I tried checking out some items just now but no discount e.g. Assembly Blu-Ray.

@ tun megatron - white unit is nice, but i still prefer the black, match the front. bought white for wife but didn't like it so swap back to black for her.
