Guys please enlighten me on this particular matter that has been bickering in my mind for quite some time.

Why do they release the movies on DVDs or Bluerays months after the new movies have been released. Take Batman "THE DARK KNIGHT" for an example. It is due to be released on JULY, but why the hell it is released on Blueray November 18. Theres like 4months in between. I dont think the movie will stay for 4months in the cinema to get enough profit before they're able to release digital copies of the movie.

Well iam preety sure every normal people around would only watch a movie on the cinema once, unless its a box office hit. Say maximum is twice per person, and i dont think any box office hit would stand more than a month in the cinema, and later than a month; its simply defeats its own purpose being on the cinema at the first place.

Why not release movies as soon as they're off the cinemas. Of course, they want people to see the movie on the cinema first, but back to square one, i dont see why it would take 3-5 months for any movie release on digital copies after release day on the cinema.
