Check the theater release for any movie at IMDB. You'll see that the release day can vary up to 3 months for different countries around the world. And usually theater runs can take up to one month.

Don't you think they want everyone to see it in theater first? It's just simple marketing logic.

You bought Indepent for USD24.95 is a bit high. last week was like USD19.95 if i not mistake.
Some time i feel amazon is like Saham, when it go down, quickly buy. when go up again, then wait it down a bit. the problem is, for ur favourite movie, u you need to monitor the price.

Quite tired simetime cause morning need to jaga price of bursa and night have to jaga price of amazon.

I think the reason of price shoot up sudden of all title recently because of US independence day (4 july). Holiday there and shopping time as well. Amazon really know about the "peak seaon"

Well iam preety sure every normal people around would only watch a movie on the cinema once, unless its a box office hit. Say maximum is twice per person, and i dont think any box office hit would stand more than a month in the cinema, and later than a month; its simply defeats its own purpose being on the cinema at the first place.

Why not release movies as soon as they're off the cinemas. Of course, they want people to see the movie on the cinema first, but back to square one, i dont see why it would take 3-5 months for any movie release on digital copies after release day on the cinema.

i support this %110 ! can u imagine us just driving down to town and pick up a bluray disc at 'amazon-esque' price and coming home to watch it..

Matrix Trilogy is definitely a must buy title. Finally, it's released on BD but I guess I won't buy it again since I'm happy with my HD-DVD version. Pretty sad that Universal is a little slow, hope to see more titles from them on BD since a number of my favourite movies are from Universal.
