correct me if i'm wrong, but i think u need to change your audio output settings from linear to bitstream in the PS3 audio settings menu.

i assume ur using optical audio? if not mistaken, if u play movies with uncompressed audio, and u set as linear output but u use optical, ur amp will just output the audio as 2CH only.

but please correct me if i'm wrong, HT sifus. i also got this problem, and got some lessons from sifus here.

to put it easily, not really lose quality. u just can't hear some sounds that can be heard from uncompressed audio.

borrowing an example from bro aiman:

for example, if the master audio (uncompressed) has a glass bouncing on the floor, with 3 dings, then crack. if u listen via bitstream, u may only hear the first 2 dings and the 3rd one silent.

that is called lossy audio. u lose some data from the audio. hence the term lossless audio for uncompressed, since u get to hear everything as it is recorded (master audio) without losing data.

maybe it could be due to extremely long hours of playing games..or maybe watching too much 'copy' movie.. maybe the quality of the copy discs makes the lens wear out faster?

Well, just to share. my royal mail package actually arrived KLIA very fast. Dispatched from amazon on 15th, and reached KLIA on 17th. Then reached Selangor Pos on 18th. Finally reached my door on 22nd, just as estimated. So pretty accurate actually.

But seriously thought my mail was gonna be left out there since it's not registered and no space to put in my mailbox. Lucky la posmen personally delivered to door. like bro aiman said...i should hug him and said thank you.
