Morning guys....
last night watch 30mins of "Eyes Wide Shut".... fuyoh...Nicole Kidman's body......Mou Tak Teng but the film is intentionally shooting in "soft" mode......and the colour look a bit off and pale....but it's the same with DVD...that's the way the director wanted it...... no LFE action here, my Velo were "off" most of the time, only comes on when there's music playing |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Jul 21 2008, 10:13 AM) Especially now that movies are so expensive to watch in the cinemas. 2 persons already cost RM24. Add petrol, parking and snacks easily another RM10-15. I made a mistake of watching TDK at the Pavilion. Parking was RM9. Almost equivalent to another ticket! Having said that, TDK is really worth watching a couple of times at least. First time in the cinema, 2nd time on BD. |

Just got my BDs! Gotham Knight, Appleseed, Vantage Point and a few others.
As for the cinemas vs Bluray, Bluray wouldn't replace the cinemas for me lah. I can't wait 6 months to go watch a good movie. Instant gratification is worth the admission price |

New edition of Casino Royale Blu-Ray due in October, Collectors Edition DVD slips release date
A new edition of the 2006 James Bond film "Casino Royale" will be released on Blu-Ray to coincide with the theatrical release of "Quantum of Solace" later this year. The "Casino Royale" Deluxe Edition Blu-Ray will contain two discs and will be released on 22nd October 2008 in Australia. No release data for the UK of USA is currently available. It will be the first time that a film has been released more than once on the Blu-Ray format. A beefed up DVD "Collectors Edition" will also be released this year - as announced by MI6 back in March. The new DVD edition of "Casino Royale" will contain 3 discs, but has already slipped its planned release date of June 2008. It is now expected to be released alongside the new Blu-Ray edition in October. The additional Blu-Ray special features are yet to be confirmed, although they are likely to be identical to the upcoming Collectors Edition DVD release. source : casino royale |

blu-ray is impossible to replace cinema la.totally different feeling, scene where it's funny ppl laugh together, scene which are scary ppl jump up together... to wait for bd for such an excellent movie doesn't make sense unless you are a loner or married,or stay in pariah places where cinema is sucky.

QUOTE(kkChan @ Jul 21 2008, 01:00 PM) TDK & Iron Man, which one is better? Lol depends on who you are showing the movie to. To me, Iron Man is a better movie if you show it to someone totally not superhero savvy. Because it is complete. But i know both are a must in my BD collection and to me, "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" sucks! Added on July 21, 2008, 1:02 pm » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « What the.... ordered CR007 not long ago !! TDK is sequel. If someone hasn't seen any Batman movies or read any Batman comic before, it is quite confusing. The complicated relationship Batman has with so many people is not explained in the movie. But since I am a Batman fan, TDK trumps the rusty man anytime! |
