i use foxit pdf reader. quite good so far.
i dont need any pdf editor since im only reading the pdf only.. hehe

highly recommend 7z (7-zip) at http://www.7-zip.org if you don't wish to pay for winrar. unfortunately i don't think it supports multi core processor so it is a bit slower than winrar but usually achieves better compression.
