A lot of people don't understand (not saying you hehe) that megapixel count has the least correlation with photo quality. You can have 12 megapixels but if your camera sensor is shit, your pictures will still come out awry. Unfortunately, most people associate megapixel count with photo quality and the phone manufacturers know it, hence the megapixel race among the newly released phones..
