Well i have a lot of nice experience in MMO. From Ragnarok to maple to flyff to gunbound and the last one is Granado Espada. But then i really need to know is WoW still worth it for me since i have no knowledge of WoW game mechanics etc. How is the population of WoW? Do the GMs active? I do hope there is no botter in this game since i quit most of the MMO bcause of hackers and botters. And i love raiding xD!! Is the economics stable and friendly for a people who just going to start playing?

none of your concerns are valid. thats of course provided ur not dumb enough to play private servers. it is the only MMO that has over 10million subscribers while the 2nd place is on a shitty 2-3 million figure afterall.

Your asking if WOW is worth playing? Well i quit wow for a year in search of something better or similier, example Guild wars, WAR BETA, perfect world, CABAL online.....however i can never find the same experience i had in world of warcraft.

A lot of friendly ppl but this depends on your server you joined.

The PVP requires skill a lot of skill and if your hard working enough you'll get some good gears to go with the skill.

Raids are so complicated and a lot of team work is required. Everyone needs to know what their doing. But you'll learn slowly as you go into instances.....Learning from instance will give u the experiences you need in raid. Just read up before you go.

botters? don't worry about them, but when i see an alliance bot i usually camp and kill it a few times lol. PVP server (Note : Only can pvp bots of the opposite faction)

those MMOs that you have played are really below par, WoW is whole new experience, you got to try it to find out.

Yup like quaz said, there are 10 millions active accounts (you haven add those that already stopped wow), you cant go wrong buying this game.

The only drawback would be the price, as its way way more expensive than other asian MMOs

lineage 2, rm40-45?

crappy.

and most mmo is priced around that price minus the even crappier asian mmo (taiwan/china comes into mind)
korean mmo is (lineage 2) would be better, but the price is almost the same as WoW, and at the end of the day its still a shitty retarded grind fest.

Yea when TBC 1st came out it was rm 160+ rite? + 15usd monthly. Asian MMOs tend to be grind based (lvl 150 wtf??), and they like to make ur damage huge!!!!, however they lack the content to satisfy high level players.

Wow on the other hand hardly requires you to grind in order to achieve max lvl, and once you reach lvl 70, uve only played like 20-25% of the game

arguebly, they DO have content for high level players, or more like, their game only resolves around high level players. any mediocre player/casual = gtfo.

hence the whole botting fest. and since they lack playerbase, the dev/gm or w/e might as well let bots roam freely as they are paying subscription at the end of the day.

in WoW, once ur 70 (max level), it is then your game truly starts. 1-70 is just a prologue, prequel, preview, learning phase w/e the hell you may wanna call it.

or RO.

to be honest, i dont think maturity is the main problem. just the typical asian mmo player mentality. or the whole "loltriad" bullshit. (case in mind: RO war of emperium/pvp arenas)
its so bad at times, you'd rather put your penis in the blender and blend away, and hope you'd bleed to death and never experience that shit ever again.

yeah it does happen. (thanks to stupid the 9)
i know for a fact during the grind of hwl, one of the hwl crew is a china farmer helping some US guy that paid him to bot to hwl tongue.gif

irony, we became friends with that china guy (the entire hwl crew) and had our share of up and downs during the journey until he hit rank14 and was never heard of again. when the US guy took over, its like as if both the crew and that guy are complete strangers.

anyways, he mentioned that, and US WoW bgs are a LOT more competitive (well, we did have HWL crew VS Marshal crew matches and it was INTENSE as hell. 1-2 hours wsg, 30-40min AB) and we never backed down. Once it was to the point when we were winning the majority if not almost every match, alliance bowed down to us and yielded all the matches, and thats when it gets interesting. we hunted them down, forced ourselves in every one of their queues (they queue dodge, but we can counter them with many ways brows.gif )
now, if you happen to bump into an old schooler that knows the old hondow/quazacolt/malgus crew, you can always have a chat with them on how the "legend" goes tongue.gif

oh you missed out "wtb MC (monthly cards)" too LOL!

Play in a new server or join a server with local guilds willing to help you financially through your leveling. The market prices in older server is really unfit for newcomers.

erm tbh i find this to be untrue for older server..

older servers have lots of 70s farming daily quest and tend to have shit loads of money to burn, if ur a newcomer u basically can sell low level raw materials (copper, herbs, leathers) for pretty impressive amount of money compared to a new server.

and btw u dont really need financial aid leveling....just need abit of research on where to quest at appropriate level.

IMO, please think twice before you play WOW... COZ...

1) You will get addicted. Just like the old days of RO ( without bot that time )
2) You have to spent kkinda a lot i for the game. And blizz going to release another new expansion, which it cost .. uhmm rm160?????
3) Repeat of steps 1 and 2

I've played almost all the games you've played lol. Regretted that I didn't joined WoW earlier before, would've been great imo. But as far as I'm concern, I'm enjoying it pretty much now. And I can see that you've already made your decision to play. Next one would be, which server? =D

If you're in UK make sure you buy the correct version of WoW. Do not ever buy EURO WoW which happened to my friend when he was in UK

Most Malaysians are playing the US version in Oceanic servers

I've been playing WoW the past hm.. 3 years now i guess. And TBH, I play on and off. I'm a casual gamer cos I work like 3-5months at one go and where I work I dun have internet connection ( yes I work in places that the internet doesn't exist!! lolx)

But after my stint I have like 1-2months of leave and this is when I subscribe to WoW again and continue to play. I can pick up anywhere and anytime to play WoW. WoW is built for the hardcore gamer and also the casual gamer. So you can have a break off WoW for say 1-2 months then play casually after work everyday ( if u work 9-5). Just spend like 2-3 hrs a day on WoW that is good enough IMHO.

I'm currently Grinding in a korean grindfest game ( Lineage 2) cos i have a point to prove to the newbies to L2-SEA. lolx. I used to play L2 NA server but then had to give it up due to the botters n lag, which was when i picked up wow. I decided not to play WoW this time around cos i'm waiting for hte next expansion where once i'm back again I'll continue my WoW hehehe

I have been playing WoW for about 1 1/2 month, and i have to admit, this game beat the crap out of all the MMO games i ever played. Arguably i am still pretty low level at level 43, but for the past 43 level i have to say, this game beat the crap out of FFXI, RagnarokOnline and etc MMO games i have ever played.

I have not seen a bot in WoW after playing for 43 levels. I did not once got bored leveling (This will sounds familliar to those peeps who ever did zombie mode level grinding). A very friendly user base, and the recently i found out that i am beginning to like PvPing hordes. tongue.gif
