When I first transferred mp3 songs from itunes to iPhone, I found all of them in iPhone. But when I tried to transfer more songs in iPhone, I can only see the newly transferred songs and not the old ones. Does anyone know where exactly I should look for them? Am i missing something? Ya, the transfer was successful in all the cases.

I'm transferring manually using itunes. Yes, I checked music library and the new songs replace the old ones. Where should I look for old songs? OR Is there something else I should do?

This is how I transfer.......Create a new playlist "mp3" and manually drag songs from Library>Music to "mp3". In "mp3" playlist, check all the songs I want to transfer. At last, click on iPhone, select Music tab and select playlist "mp3" and select sync/apply.
