The release date for this phone is planned to be on October 7th this year.

sources from : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_C905

hopefully the price wont be too high as samsung also came out with a new 8 mp phone....with high competition like this i assume SE will not simply jack up the prices............

crossing my fingers now

very impressive indeed, most like will be a lot better than the samsung 8mp phone cause c905 also has xenon flash along with the LED light!

also the design, the more i look at it, the more i fell in love...but i still don't quite get it - how large SE phone can accept an M2 memory card? nokias can get up to 8GB at the least at the moment, probably way more. also no headphone jack...not too convenient. if c905 has all sorts of connection like nokia (USB/3.5mm jack/charger jack) then it'll be REALLY great for me. but that's the SE way of doing, nothing is perfect i guess... hmm.gif
*
for this phone they can go up to 8 gb as well and theoretically can go up to 32 gb..but how big storage u would expect a phone to be?..a phone will still be a phone.there is too many limitations to it...which i suppose if we were expecting more..its best if we should get a pda or a laptop instead.hehehe..no offence

omg....how to keep up if like that?

9 megapixel mobile camera module launched
http://mobileratty.com/ article/ e6fd4c40d4cbb8679e78eee3d2c79157

If you were drooling over the 8 megapixel camera that the LG KC910, the Samsung INNOV8, or the Sony Ericsson C905 have to offer, it may be time to reassess your gadget-lust. Digital Imaging Systems launched their 9 megapixel camera module today, the DIS6931, which promises to capture photos up to 3488 x 2616 pixels in size and VGA video at 30 FPS. With power consumption under 175mW, an autofocus taking less than 300ms, a click-to-capture time of sub-200ms, and the highest pixel count to date, this module should be very appealing to manufacturers out there, so you can expect some announcements for the next notch in cameraphones real soon.

unfortunately, you're still wrong.

gps is gps, no tricks and cons. it'll work as it is, and will not need network access to get it work.

take an example, N95 can lock the position without any network access. the problem with phone GPS device is, they're not as accurate as dedicated gps device, and they take a long time for the initial locking, hence the need of Assisted-GPS, which need the help of GPRS for more information on satelite locking.

you can bring N95 for jungle tracking, no problem, just that it may have a hard time locking the satelite signal due to many trees blocking the sky.

im currently using pda phones which have gps...for normal phones , im really not sure how well gps works on them..so i really wonder how well this will be...as for a normal gps phones they may have soft ware like garmin or mapking to support..wat i understand that they will use google map which will need constant gprs connection to get the update or watsoever...i have also heard on the wayfinder.which i really not sure how it works...maybe is there anyone to enlighten me on this?

im also quite intereseted to know if this phones can really good for heavy surfers like us..hehehhe..i wonder if we can see youtube stuff from it...hahhhaha.and also will wonder if we can chat via msn thru this phones..hahahha

its a bit vague on the secondary camera as what stated in the gsmarena review there is 2 cameras?

http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_c905-review-295.php

Key features:

* 8.1 MP autofocus camera with Xenon flash and active lens cover
<<<* Dedicated camera mode switch, two camera/gaming keys over the display>>>
* Face and Smile detection, smart contrast, image stabilizer, geotagging, red-eye reduction
* Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA (3.6 Mb) / tri-band HSDPA for US version
* Scratch resistant mineral glass 2.4" TFT 256K-color display
* Built-in GPS with A-GPS function, Wayfinder Navigator software
* Wi-Fi b/g with DLNA and SIP VoIP support, Bluetooth (with A2DP), USB v2.0
* Enhanced user interface with basic multi-tasking
* Media Center, Smart search, Manage Messages, extended TrackID
* FM radio with RDS and TrackID
* 160 MB built-in memory, M2 card support, 2GB included

Main disadvantages:

* Display is relatively small for a high-end device
* Video recording limited to QVGA resolution at 30fps
* No office document viewer
* Rigid D-pad with dodgy press feedback
* Sliding lens cover of questionable durability
* Exposed connectivity port
* Fiddly battery cover

and also from the
http://www.prlog.org/10133667-sony-ericsso...-sony-c905.html

The Sony Ericsson C905 Silver is a high flyer with a lot to offer. The latest phone in Sony’s Cyber-shot range, the Sony C905 is equipped with an 8.1MP autofocus camera with an endless list of features. Starting with a built-in Xenon and photo flash, the Sony Ericsson C905 Silver includes 16x digital zoom, image stabiliser, red-eye reduction, face detection, BestPic technology, geotagging and picture blogging.<< Oh, and just for good measure there’s a secondary videocall camera as well. >>

i prefer silver.....hehehhe...

i suppose....once the phone is fully launched here...there will be a big difference in the price....as it will be too expensive to get it now...due to very limited stock with high demand...hahahhaha...so b patient if you think that the price is still too high for u...
