looks like W910i's design to me. looks is just so-so but kinda happy with the specs eg. 8.1MP + Xenon & WiFi. not too bad for a slider.

yeah. i think currently this is the first 8.1MP phone launching right? is Nokia launching any similar MP phones? we will benefit as customers of course, but that's is if the price tag didn't kill us.

hoping a review for it soon. anyway, isn't implementing a Cybershot-grade 8.1MP on a slider is kinda weird? usually only Walkman series phones come in slider form.

think this will be launched end of this year or early Q1 2009. SE don't wanna affect the sales of C902, do they?

if you're like the first few to get this, people would be like when you mentioned that your phone has 8MP camera. 8.1MP & 10MP still new to digital cameras.

i think the 2 years warranty set should be from Telstra. got few phones from Renee before. pretty reliable.

i've tried sent in two phones for warranty (both are SE) and Telstra never give any lame excuses like that. the only problem with them is SLOW. took 1 month to replace my K770i's faulty mobo.

Telstra's main service centre would be at LowYat Plaza. not sure about other places though.

haha. seriously, it's all depends on luck too. i'm on my third set Telstra SE now. so far so good. hopefully it stays like that.

nope. that's the only tiny whiny prob with this phone. or else it would have been perfect.

there's always a common misunderstanding that AP sets are low quality or factory-rejected ones. AP sets & original sets actually came off the same production line of a factory. the only difference is the different companies which brought 'em into our country eg. AP companines such as Telstra, Asia Mobile vs Authorised Distributors like Thorus & Midland and also the warranty package. there's nothing like "AP sets = low quality".

battery life is quite a subjective issue & depends on usage i guess. quite hard to judge now as said by one of the forummer since most reviews didn't mention about bad battery life.

launching date is yet to be announced but rumoured to be end of Dec.

great. original sets coming in = lower AP sets price!!

shouldn't be more than RM2K i guess. usually only PDA-alike/Symbian UIQ/WM SE phones are priced above RM2K for original eg. P1i, W960i, X1 when launched. even the flagship K850i is around RM1899 when launched. so my guess is the AP price shall drop to around RM1.4K-1.5K. let's hope & pray.

AFAIK, DiGi stores doesn't sell AP sets.

if that is really a shot taken from a C905, then i would say it has a great camera,










and i mean really really good.

slightly good lighting & photoshop is still okay for me. anyway, i feel this is the best looking slider from SE currently, not to mention the best camera.

original sets bought at any shops can still be sent for warranty or service purposes at any authorized SE centres. unlike AP sets which you can only send them to the specific company which you bought from. usually AP companies only have one service centre.
