there's always a common misunderstanding that AP sets are low quality or factory-rejected ones. AP sets & original sets actually came off the same production line of a factory. the only difference is the different companies which brought 'em into our country eg. AP companines such as Telstra, Asia Mobile vs Authorised Distributors like Thorus & Midland and also the warranty package. there's nothing like "AP sets = low quality".

battery life is quite a subjective issue & depends on usage i guess. quite hard to judge now as said by one of the forummer since most reviews didn't mention about bad battery life.

launching date is yet to be announced but rumoured to be end of Dec. smile.gif

better shutter speed ? whats the use of 8 megapixesl if you have to hold the phone steady for a second before the picture is taken. Laggy as in not smooth transition between menus. It lasted about 1 and a half days on light usage rclxub.gif I would understand if it's a PDA, but it's too short for a normal phone.
R u using certain mode of the camera?Cybershot camera shouldnt take more than 1 second before the picture is taken..hm...laggy some more...and the battery died so fast.

I heard from my relative yesterday who is works in a handphone shop in Sg Wang says C905 got lots of problem with the D-Pad, speaker, hang, etc. And more than 5 units of C905 returned to be warrantied in the past few weeks. All AP sets btw. Original sets not yet launch.

Now don't know if I should get this phone when official launch since so much problems cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Somemore bought the Martin Field screen protector for it also sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

I called up SE Call Centre for general enquiry, they Customer service person say the C905 will be launching mid this month. Assuming the 15th of December 2008.

what if original = RM2199? AP still can sell at RM1800+ and still consider a lot cheaper than original, although last time is less than RM1700. sweat.gif

but it's always more safe to get the authorized set than AP anyway. biggrin.gif

shouldn't be more than RM2K i guess. usually only PDA-alike/Symbian UIQ/WM SE phones are priced above RM2K for original eg. P1i, W960i, X1 when launched. even the flagship K850i is around RM1899 when launched. so my guess is the AP price shall drop to around RM1.4K-1.5K. let's hope & pray. smile.gif

so is the inov8 better than this?
*
IMHO, yes.. the innov8 is a better choice. 16Gb of memory , faster proc, more apps, better camera (okay, that's subjective.. but i find it to be better than SE) and thinner smile.gif

QUOTE(IcedNyior @ Dec 8 2008, 01:56 PM)
What mode were u using? I know sony's cybershot models have to be held still for certain modes before picture is taken.
*
Any of the modes that support 8 megapixels. And they were outdoor shots in the afternoon so shutter speed should have been at its fastest.

About 1 second. It shouldn't but it does doh.gif If 3 megapixel no problem, but then no point in getting this phone anymore if I did that.

its stated in the forum earlier that some member stated that when this phone is launch, the price should be around the price of k850 launching price.

it looks damn nice, good to see SE making a breakaway from their usual design.
