bro... can tell us more bout it???
da price is 8gb or 16gb???
need to sign contract????
*
16GB..
This price is without contract..
With 2 years contract would cost Singaporeans approximately RM1000 for Omnia..

I wonder why Maxis, Digi and Celcom don't provide us this type of packages.. It would have saved us a lot of money..

Thats really cheap!!!!!!

does it to do with the TAX by our government makes it so expensive??????

aih... how can our country can compete with other country like that le... all thing oso tat expensive... makes us suffer oni!!!!!
*
Not sure about da tax.. Mayb it's because our country is big, and that leads to lesser competition among the Telco companies.. On the contrary, Singapore is much smaller and competition is real high there.. All telco companies trying to provide much better packages..

Anyway, not only the pricing, Omnia came out in beginning of July in Singapore, and Malaysia only have it in August.. We're going backwards.. Even iPhone is out in Singapore today.. Not sure when is it gonna release in Malaysia..

I bought it from eBay Singapore.. The seller signed up for a contract and got that phone for free, then she sold it on eBay.. I actually won the bid at that price.. It was SGD812.50, which is RM1950..

oh... tats nice....

means it dunhav warranty???
*
With warranty, but Singapore's warranty.. Which means i have to go to Singapore if whatsoever go wrong with my Omnia.. But i doubt there would be any problems.. Since i've used 3 Samsung phones and had no problem with all of them..

Dropped my ex-samsung phone 11 floors down through the gap of the lift, yet my Samsung phone can still be used without having to service or fix.. That's what's keeping me loyal towards Samsung.. rclxms.gif

wow 11 floors??? haha till now im still considering which set shud i get... either Local or Singapore... but local set is far too expensive...

but if buy Singapore set, it will be very troublesome to claim warranty if got any problems with the phone...

cause i never use a Samsung phone b4.... n this Omnia really change my loyalty on Nokia all this while.....

hope will join u all soon....
*
And Sg set provides GPS license and maps.. I just activated and is happily using GPS.. Not sure bout the Malaysian set.. Coz it seems like a lot of ppl downlaoding it theirselves on MapKing and Garmin..

To view ur pics like iPod Touch, go to

Programs -> Media Album -> Open any one of ur pics -> Then u'll see one yellow scroll on the right of the screen -> scroll a LITTLE BIT until it goes full screen (Dun oversize it) -> Start gliding your fingers thru to see the next pic..

thumbup.gif Sounded like a long journey.. However, when u're used to it, u'll have fun showing it off to your frenz..

Added on August 29, 2008, 8:29 pmRegarding the Samsung leather pouch, you can get it at Mustafa (in Singapore) at SGD 25, which is RM60.. If whoever has a Singaporean fren, can ask them to help you buy..

Hi all...other than omnia pouch itself. Is there any other pouch which compatible with omnia. preferably the one that able to clip / strap to your belt.

Been searching the pouch..went to digital mall. Omnia pouch really expensive there. one shop quoted rm80. Another rm150. they said that if you bought it from samsung itself, it'll be rm300++.

is it true? or they are very good in lying and seaching 'duit haram'.
*
If you want one that can clip on your belt strap, maybe can consider PDair Omnia pouch.. I saw it on eBay.. Looks quite good though.. Forgotten bout the pricing..

Thanx 4 the info seanmilk..

found it in eBay. There are 2 type, one is horizontal and another is vertical.
The horizontal one is available only from US (RM27.10) and Hong Kong (RM 61.02). The US one is cheaper might be coz its not PDair brand.
For the vertical only available from Hong Kong (RM61.02 also).

well to bad its so far away. So, need to find any other suitable pouch for omnia.  biggrin.gif

They provide international shipping.. But you need a Paypal account to pay for it.. Coz the seller only accept Paypal payment sad.gif

dont flame me, i like the design and all but ... read this

I guess the person who wrote that article is just using the trial version and has not upgraded the firmware.. But anyhow, loads of users who had not upgraded the firmware are still doing fine with the phone.. The writer's just tooo one sided, none of the good specs were mentioned.. He just mentioned bout all the cons (which can be fixed) of the phone.. What a negative person.. Doubt he do well in life!! Pathetic guy..

Ohh.. It's like that for all Samsung phones.. I've used 3 Samsung phones so far and found out that it's all the same.. Maybe that's to avoid u from getting shock.. Who knows, maybe Samsung think their design is so nice that people hang it on their ear as earring.. Kekeke!!

If ur warranty is under FMG, den no nid to pay.. If it's Singapore set, then FW upgrade would cost you RM100..
