Hi there or anyone,

Every Courts Mammoth outlets also selling RM2799 for 16GB with freebies?

Just went to LowYat plaza, the best price (fren price) is RM2850 without any freebies (standard package), meanings no pouch as well! shocking.gif

According to them, freebies including pouch only can get during PC Fair, not now anymore. Anyone know where still can get the cheapest price with freebies now?

Thanks!

Finally can get the satellites, for first time use, XTRA ENABLE need to be enabled in Enhance GPS to accelerate the locating of satellites (data charges applied). But so far I encountered 1 time quite difficult to locate satellites, "Acquiring Satellites" for few minutes before successfully lock a satellite even i'm at outdoor. hmm.gif

for Omnia GPS to worked:
Tools > system > externa GPS setting
Programme port Com3
Hardware port Com 9 9600
access: checked manage GPS automatically (recommended)
With this setting the following programme was tested:

Agis , GMXT. BeelinGPS cacheNav,
1) GMXT programme you had to purchased the GMXT programme in microSD(www.semsons.com). plus it into the Omnia. It will worked for you. GMXT will autodetect you GPS, went to outdoor to get the fix. For first time just goto Enhaced GPS. checked the XTRA ENABLE, Tapped the XTRA Data download. Then it will accelerate the GPS fix. run the GMXT and waiting for it to acquire the satalite. with malsingmaps you can navegating to anyway you like from Singapore to Malaysia. Good luck.
2) Agis. Goto storage card. Looking for a file NAVFone_PPC_i900_05June08, run it . It will prompt you where to installed. Installed in storage card. Activated the licience. Tap the Navigation. Checked the autodetect box > OK. it will started to looking for GPSr inside the phone. the satelike will started blinking with pop up message Satelie not fix. Once fixed the satelite logo will changed into green. You can started the test drive now. Enjoy!

The External GPS in WM5 just a GPS. it was Called GPS manager. You have to configured it first. First you need to know which port is the hardware port. The programme port is the comm port for you to run many GPS programme concurently by connected to this port. I had tested MapKing, Que 2.9, visual GPS concurently with my Dopod 818pro more then a year ago. But in WM 6.1 it can only run one GPS programme at a time. It may me a bug on WM 6.1 or Samsung firmware error. It worked like the programme GPSgate or gpspoxy.

I haven't try MapKing before, but searching on the internet, GMXT interface and map looks much much more better than MapKing, personal preferences. cool2.gif

I just got my Omnia update to H3 from service center in Summit. Confirm the chinese SIP is still there, can't notice other new features yet.

But the overall speed is faster compare to G4, it might due to more memory available in H3.

Also notice that it drain more battery than G4. I will continue monitoring and confirm this with you guys. Fully charged yesterday night and left 40% now.

Can you guys confirm how long is the warranty for the phone? 18 months or 12 months?

It's stated 12 months in my warranty card and I didn't check with them in the service center.

confirm on my Omnia with H3 is draining my battery like drinking water. Yesterday night fully charge, after that have a few calls in at night, today whole day just received 2 SMS only and not even turn it on for more than 2 minutes, and just now at around 6pm, the battery level is too low and force shutdown. Before this on G4, can last for few days and still left 30-40% before i charge again.

Do you guys on H3 has this problem as well?

i think i'm going to downgrade it back to G4. haih....

falty battery?

arggghss... i doubt it was a faulty battery, it's not happen in G4, can at least last for few days before need a charge. And also i triple check the serial number of the battery to make sure samsung service center ppls didnt change my battery to a faulty one. sad.gif

plan to do a hard reset and don't install anything to it. if still got problem, i will revert back to G4.

HH1/HH3: Very poor signal hammers battery?

Some good info. In my office also encounter poor signal, it's keep changing 3G to E and sometimes even to G. blink.gif

I think most likely is this reason, anyone else can confirm their signal strength with the battery drain?

Ur previous firmware got better signal or u never encounter this b4?
*
the previous firmware, G4, also using in poor signal environment but the battery last much much longer, referring to the forum that i posted the link, poor signal is affecting battery life for H3. Some people even flash the phone version to G3/G4/G5/H1/H3 to test out...

For those did not face any battery drain problem, can you guys confirm your area is having a good signal and constantly staying at 3G only or keeps changing?

About the battery drain, i changed in Settings --> Phone --> "More" tab --> Band Selection --> GSM 900/1800, now the phone sign is "E" constantly, it won't keeps changing between "E" and "3G", now the battery level looks good...

for those without this problem, please confirm the signal strength and not only confirm the usage, just want to confirm this is cause by the poor signal reception affecting the battery usage.

For me yes, my office having poor signal reception, and keeps changing between "E" and "3G" depend which part of the office that i go.
