there are utilities that u can download to tweak the phone...

1)sktool
2)memmaid

this tools allow u to set mp3 as ringtone from your mp3 collections..resize your cache n etc2..

try it...i used it with my previous pdaphone(including TD) it worked flawlessly..dunno bout omnia tho since i don't own 1...hehehe..but it should worked fine..

IMHO firmware upgrade wont fry the mobo..most likely there was already some issue with the device itself before the upgrade..

anyhow planning to get this but dunno whether it's worth it or not...the only pros is the screen size 3.2" other than that it's still pretty much the same with the other high end pda in the market..

if I'm not mistaken the rom that ericchan posted only update the pda version not the radio/phone version..as I've been using the similar rom for 2 days now...

by the way ericchan,can you please check the version to confirm my statement above..hehehe..i might be wrong you know...hehehe

I'd normally used 3rd party utilities software ie:sktool or memmaid..they can do the job apart from several other cool things..heheh
