Alrite... first week into the OMNIA experiece so far no regrets ^.^ love the phone... and the battery life is amazing haha ... end of 3rd day... 2 bar left thumbup.gif

2 bugs so far I encounter.
1 ) Memory issues  - some times u cant start up ur camera.. gives u the insufficient memory error (solution - soft reset) Hopefully in thier new ROM they fixed this memory leak issue.
2 ) USB Mode - I dunno if anyone is facing this issue.... I have a 8GB OMNIA and a 8GB MicroSD in the phone... but in USB mode I can only see the MicroSD storage and cant access my phone storage.. anyone else facing this issue? Got a solution??

Thanx ^.^

1. happens to me as well.....but surprisingly not so often anymore.....in fact....cant remember the last time it happened.

2. Go to Main Menu ----> Settings ------> Connections Tab ------> USB Connection Mode.
Select Active sync instead of mass storage....
Then Go to My computer on your PC....select your smart phone and u should see your phone memory....the internal storage and the storage card.....copy files to any storage u like...

by the looks of it.....think they would be getting a huge chunk of it.....i dont think 2 months ago...if anyone told me to choose between a samsung PDA and a HTC pda without comparing the specs.....think i would have said "SAMSUNG? They make PDAs?"

ZZzz... should do complain on this.... their think is the main concern of the user not all only "their think" lol

the gradual ring volume increase is a safety feature... and a bloody good one too... at least you wont burst ur ear-drums when a call comes in right after u finish one... the first soft ring is an alert to move ur phone away from ur ears... happy.gif The phone ringing at ur ear at full blast is not a pleasant experience... I kena b4 >_<

The gradually increase ringtone is fixed which I don't like. Unlike other phones (especially Symbian), we can st to use "Increase Gradually" mode as the ringtone. But all Samsung units (mine is i780 by the way) have this fixed soft-to-loud ringtone. Not a good feature for me. Still googling around to hack this "fixed" feature.

H1 firmware available for download now. Try at your own risk.

http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...cted-dx1hh-rom/

Download ActiveSync and Modem Driver : http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/omnia/index.jsp

"Incorrect Software Version" fix : http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...re-version-fix/

Just in case if update goes wrong, read this through.

http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&showtop...ndpost&p=910083

Note : READ through the dicussion on the firmware itself.

Not yet. From the discussion, I've encounter some people bricked their i900, some not successfully update. There's solutions mentioned in that thread. Without basic knowledge on flashing ROM, I suggest people to stay away from this. Unless you have Samsung Service Center near your place, you can give it a try. If I bricked mine, I have to send back to Kuching. Wish me luck when I go back home to try. tongue.gif
