Sapura sets are confirm original.
They are not commercialize like Zitron and AVAXX that distribute to Authorize dealers to be sold to end users. Sapura distributes to big big corporates for staff and so.

one of my friend told me that actually sapura are one of the big company that carry Nokia brand, you can search internet for their profile.
*
Sapura even does Automotive retails (BMW) in Malaysia. But i don think distributing Nokia phones is their core business though.

If u had garmin installed it'll probably drain faster.
I've experience b4 when i was using N96. with garmin xt installed, battery last for less than 24hours (normal usage, music and few phone call) not that hardcore. Without Garmin XT installed, can last longer.
I'm still trying on my n85, it seems quite lasting without Garmin XT installed. Normal usage can last for 2 days.

i pick n85 over n96. In terms of weight, it is lighter. In term of size, it is much slimmer. Battery life is the main concern as n96 really has a bad battery life. The battery bar dropped 2 bars only but when i woke up in the morning, it's dead! N85 wins in almost every aspects except for the memory storage size and the 0.2" difference of screen size. I'm not that particular with the screen size and the memory though. 8GB is more than enough and i still love the bright n colourful OLED display on N85 ^^ heheh!

Added on January 22, 2009, 8:04 pmBTW, I also experienced music skipping on my N96 with i'm using a bluetooth stereo headset. N85 doesn't have this kind of problem. As for as i know, the firmware is much more stable compare to n96's even it has been updated.

It depends, i did a comparison as well with 2 N96s, 1 AP 1 Original.
The original one slides better and it feel more solid.
But i still kinda like N85's coz it is so smooth =D

Added on January 22, 2009, 8:40 pmAny1 here having problems with blinking lights on the keypad when the screen switches?

No idea bout the nokia maps, but i usually lock my position with nokia maps 1st before using garmin. This way will lock my position in a shorter time. Ofcoz with A-GPS on ^^

Help me

My phone's one of the speaker doesn't work.
what to do?
*
Well, u can't do anything except sending it to which ever AP company to fix it or if its an original set, send it to Nokia care center.
If its nothing major, Nokia care center can fix it within few hours. I experienced once, fixing the sliding problem i had with my E66 for just 1 hours.
AP company i'm not so sure, my fren even waited for 1week+ to get his phone fixed. So i still prefer original set biggrin.gif

oh kay... the battery lasted 2 days now.. but still under performance la i feel
*
Yes, mine can last for 2days plus. Quite impressive as i've been using wifi for around 1-2hours and making phone call n messaging + GPS a little.
Compare to my previous N96, it's far far better biggrin.gif

so is it ok for me to hard reset once i got a firmware update?
*
I don think that would be necessary unless u feel that ur phone is unstable after the FW update.

hey...i am gonna use nss to change my code to APAC singapore code so that i can read chinese...bcz the currently code of my n85 is filipina...is there anyone have the APAC code to give me?singapore de sure gt chinese..?plz pm me..
*
Just a friendly reminder, changing product codes will eventually void the warranty unless u change it back to the original product code before sending back for warranty. Yes, Singapore product code comes with chinese language. Malaysia 1 also got smile.gif

yes, it's best to have garmin xt v4 installed instead of v5 since the cardrunner.dll will be draining battery alot.

oh so means it's better for me to format my memory card and hard reset first before sending for a firmware upgrade?

i prefer to make sure everything is clean as new after firmware update, so will another hard reset after that harm my phone??
*
Not necessary to do a hard reset but it wont harm to do a hard reset though.

as far as i know older firmwares of N95, EMEA version of firmwares turns off shutter sound in silent mode. As for APAC version i think it can't be turned off.

If ur garmin software has not been activated yet, u can't use the built-in GPS module, in other words, u need to buy a genuine one or there's always "the other way".
Uncle google might be able to help u biggrin.gif
Cheers...
