i am looking forward for this phone too... it's not launched in M'sia yet but in Italy only...

It's selling at about RM 2750 at Italy...

Heard that all Nokia stores already have the N85 dummy set for demonstration... keep your fingers crossed, hopefully it will be released within the next 2 weeks!

Added on October 9, 2008, 9:56 pmN85 is available for sale in Singapore at S$860... around RM 2k only!

i'm just hoping it will be around 2.2k to 2.5k only... ORI lah...

it can't be 2.8k... otherwise Nokia flagship N96 can sink already... and I don't think Nokia wants it to sink as it just got released 1 month+ !

N85 is available now... it's selling in US at $668 (MYR 2338 @ 3.50 rate) at the moment

Nokia store in Cheras Leisure Mall said should be available in M'sia in 1 week time, or maybe not, and they dunno 'bout the price... let's keep our finger crossed it will be around RM 2.2k only!

personal review? oh well, i really dun like to write essay, i'll just put down in point form:-

- phone package comes with 3-months free GPS voice navigation, 1 n-gage game voucher, 1 tv-output cable, 1 wired headset, 1 USB charger, USB cable & user manuals + CD

- keypad is flat but so far have no problems in typing sms

- D pad buttons are a bit hard to press, probably b'cos i'm not used to it since i've used my 6680 for almost 4 years

- navi wheel is quite sensitive

- picture quality is awesome, so is the video quality, hardly can find blurry effects after you record it, exactly same like when you are recording during playback

- speaker is excellent, quite loud, but when put it to 100% full blast, can hear slight cracking sounds, but just 70% is already loud enough for a normal hearing

- slider is firm

- menu transition effect is excellent

- charges via USB port, so charge anywhere you want as long as there's USB port! no more hassle in finding 3-pin socket port!

- this babe is one big fingerprint magnet... tongue.gif

- dual LED, quite bright when it flashes, may not be as bright as Xenon flash but bright enough to capture when you in low-light environtment

- fm transmitter is really one big feature, u can play the songs in your phone via your car radio

okay enough, that's all i can write for the time being, i'm still exploring it!

but what about the OLED lifetime ? boleh gune setahun je ? like. total wastage ?
*
that's provided if you let your screen on 24x7...

haih ya those lifetime thingy no need to worry one lah... if u calculate exactly LIKE THAT, then of coz 1 year+ later kantoi lah.... just like talktime, i used my 6680 for almost 4 years and i'm a above average usage user but my total talktime is only 336 hours (*#92702689#), so i only talk on my phone for 14 days out of 1460 days instead? sweat.gif

dun lah become auntie from pasar malam.... tongue.gif brows.gif

but fm transmitter also around 1m only wad
*
how far do you need to put your phone away from the radio for it to receive the transmission anyway? just leave it on the radio will do the job...

and i don't think your distance of yourself with the radio receiver on your car is way further than 1m... it works perfectly with playing music & videos

GPS need to pay or not one?
I can tell its damn accurate. Tried it when I was back in my in law house and play play and wrongly select my position. To my surprise, it was correct answer. Hahaha...
*
no need to pay, however, you must make sure your GPS settings is not NETWORK-BASED, you must turn it off manually in your phone settings, otherwise, each time u turn on your GPS, your GPRS/3G connection is on also to assist your phone in getting more accurate positioning from your telco, which could cost you a bomb if you are on the move (except if you have unlimited data package subscribed for your phone)

to do this :-> Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Positioning > Positioning Methods > tick off Network based
