Hey guys ,i'm new to this forum i just completed my SPM but my English got a B+ and 5C for 1119,so is it fits me for learning law or contrastly?if suits, what is the subject should i take in A-levels for pre-law?I'm from a science stream so since law is a art stream and some say its not worth to change to art stream if your science subjects are good(YES my Phy n Bio n Che are A,A,A+) so i need to understand it more well. hmm.gif
A-levels subjects :
Buisness studies
Economics
Accounting
English literature
Law
Mathematics

So,which subjects combination should fits more better for pursuing a law degree in A-levels?

Your kindly comment will be my motivation to choose what i need to choose. Thx notworthy.gif

Just a moment ago where i checked Internet resources, i were shocked to found out that Law had been categorized as soft subject !!! Soft subject means that this subject are not so good and less people are taking these subjects for A-levels.Some Universities said that it is the best for students to taking Science subjects than law for pursuing law degree.
Here is what Uni of Cambridge said so:http://www.cam.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/courses/law/requirements.html
Now i'm confusing again rclxub.gif
Damn Shit,i was just close to study A-levels law and now this news bounce out in front of my eyes. shocking.gif

hey guys ,i wanna know how to get into King's college LLB? Because i heard that some other people who took UOL also gain the entry into King's while they were at 2nd year. What is the way and if i'm taking UK transfer degree programme will it works that way too?

1st: score straight As in your A-levels.
2nd:You could try applying via your intermediate result. Securing King's scholarship is the alternative.
There's no room for you to gain entry into King's via any UK transfer program.

uh i think u misconcieve my question buddy.Let me state 2 examples :

1)I'm currently enrolling UOL LLB external at Malaysia's University and i want to do my 2nd year at KIng's .Would that be possible transferring to king at my 2nd year by applying its application and scolarship?

2)I'm currently enrolling UK degree transfer program at my 1st year and maybe i'm going Cardiff for my 2nd or 3rd year (Let's say).BUt suddenly i want go to King's for my 2nd year or 3rd year.Would that be possible to transfer to king by applying its application and scolarship?

Lastly , do you have the link for King's scholarship application?I might have a glance of it .Thanks.

To be the only one in M'sia to secure that scholarship, that should have explained the extent of its difficulty?
My friend who got it actually told me that she did not follow any answer guide provided by the college. She merely followed the study guide and worked out her own answers.

Really? But from some university's brochure such as A** and B** ,they are quite a few person got it instead of one and is it harder than get first class honour ?

Quite simply,

Warwick is one of the highest ranked British schools and is considered by many in more recent times to be a target school just below and sometimes in the same category as Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, and UCL. But it is not particularly known for Law. But it is not difficult to gain entry into with the right subjects as aggregate required grades are not as high as some others.

Southampton is one of the internationally higher ranked schools in that list, with the second probably being Manchester.

Queen's Belfast is also in the Russell Group, nowhere near elite but at least associated with upper universities.

Assuming you're not into Oxbridge and LSE, you might consider individual strengths for Law (Queen Mary, University of London, possibly Nottingham University etc) or rankings (UCL and Warwick). Stuff like Soton is kinda in between, Queen's Belfast has a very low ranking amongst British universities alone, forget internationally. Again, you might consider individual strengths, schools like Cass Business School have specialties which may not have anything to do with ranking.

I have nothing to say for Liverpool and Sheffield. If you're spending GBP 20,000- 30,000... make your own decision, but if you regret it, it's on you.

ok and thx for your information buddy!!I think now my highest aim would be either warwick or manchester.Correct me if i'm wrong . smile.gif
