QUOTE(chelsh @ May 15 2010, 10:27 AM) Study for your paper 2! my friend got A in paper 1 and C in paper 2, she still can get A in the end for AS. Well, i suppose you are taking Cambridge A-levels? It is still possible for you to get a B for your overall A-levels. Make sure you get a good A during A2 level. |

Even if you get a 'C' in your AS level, you still stand a chance to get an overall 'B' after paper 3 and paper 4.Added on May 15, 2010, 12:37 pm I just want to knw is it possible i still can get B in AS after my paper 1 screw? Likely fail in uol inter public law... Knowing what is Parliamentary Std Act 2009 about through recent development. Yet, I wrote the whole PS answer because affected by the sentence "parliamentary SOVEREIGNTY is self-regulation."... I simply said PSA2009 was enacted to challege parliamentary sovereignty... then laid down all the PS challenges by saying... "not only PSA09 challenge the sovereignty... then..."... any1 made the same mistake as me?

If you are GOOD, you won't have to worry any problem to work at private law firm. I have lots Local U graduate manage to find their job in law firms. But, you must work hard, academic, communication, presenting, language |

QUOTE(shmily @ Jun 9 2010, 12:51 PM) Anyone know the different between International Law and International Human Right Law? Which one is more useful? International law, like domestic law, is divided into many areas. The 2 main divisions are public international law (the relationships between states) and private international law (jurisdictional issues when individuals/companies across borders come into conflict). Most university "international law" courses refers to public international law. I have no exact idea about its scope.... can anyone tell me the different? Thanks As a subject, international law is broader than international human rights law. International law encompasses international criminal law, international human rights law, the law of the sea, international environmental law, international humanitarian law etc. You'll learn about the basic principles - treaty law, customary international law, state sovereignty - and a bit about the various areas of international law You'll cover the same basic principles in international human rights law, but with a more specific focus. As for which is more useful - probably neither. Jobs where you'll use public international law are few and far in between - mainly in government departments, international agencies, law faculties, and some large law firms. Private international law (or conflict of laws) is probably more common in legal practice. |

I suggest working up until April or May at most, then start studying for the exams proper. It is very, very bulky. The passing rate for the CLP in BAC and ATC is at about 35 to 40% with an additional 30% for conditional passes...but that includes quite a few who have done it before... |

Hmm, he/she is not eligible to sit for CLP then for my knowledge. Right? Correct me if im wrong....Added on June 10, 2010, 11:45 am QUOTE(bornofosiris @ Jun 8 2010, 11:05 PM) I have a question to ask...which colllege would u think is better to be enrolled in A levels law...HELP or brickfields asia college...any other maybe? If you are quite wealthy, i think Taylors and HELP is not bad fro its pre-u program.Brickfields is quite affordable though and i would say, it is running quite well there. Do take note that, ATC and KDU also offer the program. Maybe you can talk to them and make up your mind after that. This post has been edited by jhong: Jun 10 2010, 11:45 AM |
