What notebook model are you referring to, if your laptop has a wireless card, you should be able to connect to your "louter" wirelessly and go online via your streamys

Anyhow.. first the router must got wifi as a wireless access point

go to garage sales.. they selling keyboard too there. so u can prevent the capslock error. feels like screamo. Hey it's not just Dlink, others brand can do it too but Dlink price quite ok la. but make sure ur laptop got wireless card so u can connect via wireless. need a bit of configuration too.. correct me if i'm wrong.

Err.. Lounter is Router eh?

and he probably won't get his wireless to work because he is going to use cheap imitation "Louter" to set up the wireless

anyway .. basic configuration

Internet(StreamyX) --> Wireless ADSL Modem --> Wireless Card on PC

As to how to connect to your louter, it's simply clicking on the connections icon in the taskbar, pick your the louter with the correct SSID, and you are set to go

What is your louter model, your friend says it is a wireless louter, but best to the check the model number to confirm.

Next, bring out the manual and start reading how to set up a wireless network

Hahaha, "louter". Man i wish i had a "louter" as well.

Usually ppl type better then they speak when it comes 2 english. I guess now with sms, everything is going down the drain.

another way is -- call the streamyx guy come and fix for u.. mayb pay him RM20-50 for "drink tea" ok liao..

things u MUST have :-

1. wireless router
2. laptop with wifi either build in or attached
3. pci wifi card for desktop (if u want desktop wireless as well)
otherwise still can use wired for desktop

go buy a wireless router first...
