Haha, not into this tournament. Too many players withdrawing.

One thing I do know though, I am going to grab a few rackets from the showcase booth. They sell cheaper than stores here.

I think it's a big mistake not picking them to represent M'sia in the olympics.

Good for Zakry and Fairuz. Now, will they get the chance for Olympic at the expense of the fading KKK/TBH?

i don't think so, as BAM had already submitted the entry form with the name of ctf/lww n kkk/tbh tongue.gif
as for kkk/tbh, after skipping 3 major tourneys before the og, rexy's strategy is to let other title competitors to under estimate their ability.... hmm.gif this is what i guess hmm.gif

went to national stadium, bangkok...

cheer till i lost my voice(was the only malaysian shouting)... too bad, won the 1st set then lost the following two... but the pair gave a good fight... physically both of the malaysian lost to the chinese.... defended quite well, lack of attacking power which i think due to the size....

guru is seeded no. 9, but most dangerous boy came from thai, tanongsak, he wants to be called as 'song' (intonation from low to up hill)

for mas, not a chance in ms event, possibly in md... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif there are 2 seeded pairs

Our best hope lies on the shoulder of Azizul, Malaysian flag bearer during the opening ceremony. flex.gif

Lee Chong Wei has the highest hopes of winning a medal for us.
Provided he plays up to par and doesn't crumble under the pressure.

Choon Han will have to be in his element. Taufik is much quicker than our veteran and will pepper Choon Han's end of the court with leaping smashes.

On another note our men's pairs will be in action on court 1 tomorrow as well, so we can expect to see them live. Kien Keat and Boon Heong will take on their bogeymen from Japan @ 19:05 while our veteran pair will take on the young Koreans @ 20:50.

Taufik was known for his legendary taps. That WAS the past. Doubt he has the physical demands to do what he did back in Athens.

Chong Wei's performance today was slick and superb !
Really deserved to beat Ronald Susilo.
I hope Choong Hann can stay sharp and at least try to topple the defending gold medalist - Taufik.

What a performance by Wong Choon Han. You have to also give credit to coach Wong Tat Meng for choosing the right strategy. Taufik doesn't like it when people attack him and Choong Han was aggressive from start to finish, hardly giving Taufik any smashing opportunities. Choong Han either kept the shuttle low or hit it above and beyond Taufik's shoulder. Let's hope our doubles pairs emulate their singles counterparts.

WCH win! rclxm9.gif
Lucky that he manage to seal the game in straight sets, if not, i think he might lose the game by Taufik having the stamina advantage.
Can see that WCH is already struggling a little near end of the 2nd set.
Taufik not in form today eh doh.gif laugh.gif
