Hi All,

I hv some question regarding the Iphone,hope some1 can help me with it...

1) Can i copy songs into the phone from a PC or must i buy it from Apple online stores?

2) Can use the phone's Bluetooth to transfer files between phones? Oh it can't. Got the answer from the FAQs Topic ord...

3) Can it record videos?

4) Can it use MP3 files as ringtones?

5) And many sellers are selling with the firmware v1.1.4. is this the latest 1? any xtras that comes with this firmware?

any sifus here mind to enlighten me on this matter? thnx...

1) yes u can by synchronize with itunes
2) im afraid u cant do that
3) yes with 3rd party application help
4) im afraid not but u can use .AAC file as ringtones
5) for time being, 1.1.4 were the latest firmware its might better compare to the previous releases

hi kcmy. first thing, welcome to lyf iphone community.

1) Yes. U can copy song, via iTunes. iphone will sync song including your playlist to PC to iphone. note that any change on the iTunes playlist will effect iphone after sync. same goes to video or movie and must be in mp4 format for iphone to support.

2) No. iphone bluetooth is only design for Handsfree. thats the way of apple preventing piracy.

3) You can record Video. U need to install 3rd party application for example ShowTime application. it record video with sound real time. u need wifi to download it via installer.

4) Yes. u can set MP3 song as for a ringtone. there is several step to make it available as a ringtone when it sync with iphone via iTunes.

5) 1.1.4 is the latest version. 2.0 is still in beta and yet, release on this Jun (not announce yet).


from all this. 9th Jun, apple will announce the 2nd Gen iphone. it is simillar to iphone. the only difference is the design, new implimentation of 3G and also improve GPS from current iphone. the modification is not final and may have a tons of improvement (maybe) on the 2nd generation iphone.



Q: should i buy the current iphone or wait the new one?

A: it is up to you and your usage of the iphone. malaysia 3G is still expansive and yet, the coverage is still in major city only. if u desperate on using the 3G services, u may need to wait until it launch and the undeground developer to create a software to unlock/jailbreak/activate and it maybe take a long time.

itunes can be downloaded from apple website. it is free.
