double elim gives the team a second chance.. i dont see how it isnt fair =\ and its quite a popular format for tournaments all over.

err.... ok.. u do realize this is a tournament right.. u cant pick who u play or the skill level of the opponent you're going against.
ok, maybe the brackets are abit messed up. at least u get to play a second time or would u rather have played 1 match, lose and bye-bye.
think of it this way : u get to play another team even after u lost. more u play, the more experience u gain.

well, luck of the draw. in tournaments you dont get to choose who you go against. sooner or later you will HAVE to play against a good team. and with only 7 teams its gonna be sooner rather than later.

dont blame the format or organizers for using it. its hardly unfair. would you really have preferred single elim ? thats more unfair lor. imagine the top 2/3 teams all meet up in the 1st and 2nd match and losers go home straight. and some lucky randoms get to cruise through to the finals.


.. there have been alot of teams winning coming from the lower bracket. it has happened so many times before. just on friday, for the eswc qualifier, team LZ came from lower bracket to defeat hybrid (cs 1.6) twice to win the tournament. so yeah, its possible.

gav = cs team lz + sniggy and jetz. they were there for the eswc qualifier the day before (which lz won).

i play both games. but i concentrate more on cs and tf2 for casual play. im the weird face nick in tf2 \(ô_º)/ . keke
