Nice tattoos you guys got here.

I've recently went back to Malaysia for a 3 week holiday got some ink done and am quite happy with the results.

Did a Koi Fish, Lotus flower on the back of my arm and a chrysanthemum next to my inner elbow.

Thank you. The pain was worth it and the quality of tattoo artists from Malaysia amazes me.

I would not recommend anyone doing a tattoo over their elbow or the inner elbow though. I felt like dying for a while when the artist was coloring and shading those areas....Sakit Giler...

wow .. color is really nice but i guess cuz its fresh also thats why the color can see clearer haha

Hi mate, yup, the most recent photo i posted is straight after getting it inked. Gladly though, the tattoo has not faded as much as i thought it would. I went to an artist in Kota Kinabalu. His name is Ronny (From Passion of Ink)and has a shop in some shopping complex.

Alternatively, i have an old friend from primary school who is now based in KL. His name is Carlos Benny Majakil and does some really fantastic work. He used to have a shop in Sunway Pyramid but has closed down due to him travelling around the world tattooing people.Would recommend him if you are in West Malaysia.

im gonna guess Carlos Benny Majakil does more oriental and tribal stuff? was just looking through his facebook and it does look pretty good

Ronny Taptoe? went and google his portfolio on fb ... looks like quite a mixture of everything ...  good stuff

im more into realism tats .. not too many artists who does it in malaysia ... either that or my knowledge of tat artists not too good haha

there seems to be a tattoo convention at kuching this weekend ... if u're in east malaysia should just go around and check out the work of other artists and see

Yeah i heard about the convention. Unfortunately i do not live in Malaysia and have no chance of going.

Yup Ronny Taptoe is the one who did my recent tattoo. Maybe im a bit more biased towards artists who do Oriental styled tattoos lol!

Oh if you are looking at artists, another very good artist who does a lot of realism and dark type of tattoos is Tacoe Joe from Black Ink Industry. Also grew up with him but have lost contact since about 10 years ago. He's also pretty good with the old school western styled tattoos....

You might enjoy his portfolio. https://www.facebook.com/taco.joe/photos_albums

Hi to all,
I'm looking to get a new Tattoo in the end of November in KL I will fly all the way from the Maldives!

I'm looking to get a half sleeve Japanese style, actually it should be a cover up from a  tattoo which is not that great but this is an other story.
Now I'm looking to find a very good studio.
I was reading about Bloody INK "Kinki as an Artists" and Borneo INK "Eddie as an Artists".

Which of them is the better studio?
Thanks to all

Eddie is very very good. Im unsure about his Japanese styled tattoos but he's done some tribal stuff for my brother in law and looks flawless. If you are after Japanese tattoo. have a look at Carlos Benny for Jap styled tattoos. You can have a look at his work. He's learnt with the best (Horiyoshi 3 i think)...

If you can come down to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, there are 2 shops that i can highly recommend. Passion of Ink and BLACK INK Industry which i swear by their quality.

https://www.facebook.com/rontaptoe/photos_albums <--- Ronny of Passion of Ink (I did my sleeve at Ronny's)

Will surely be back for more once i get back to Malaysia. I live in Australia and can assure you the inkwork in Malaysia is comparable or sometimes even better than what i have seen around here.
