QUOTE(jianshen @ Oct 6 2014, 05:15 PM) Any recommendations for good tattoo artists for lion around KL? Not sure if I want colour or plain yet. And if it is about 2/3 back piece, what would the damage be to my wallet? what type of lion u want? traditional or realistic?

I got jenn Neoh to do most of my tattoos, including the backpiece, that means her price is not the same anymore.Because I was thinkng that it also depends on the size of the lion and the position. I have not been geting new tattoos for quite a while (4 years)

I have not been geting new tattoos for quite a while (4 years) oh wow really? i think she does great pieces man. i think generally go by how much is it per hour the artist charges? how much did your tattoos cost with her? because doing a whole backpiece 2/3 of the back is quite big ... and i can imagine 6 hour sessions for about 3 to 4 sessions? ... estimating it at the range of around RM300 - Rm500 per hour ... i'd say its around 6hours x 4 sessions x RM300 = around RM7200? just my own rough estimate. cause i'm not sure how much jenn neoh costs but i wouldn't mind paying extra for her cause she's gotten really good over the past few years

Now she is working together with her husband in their own shop. This post has been edited by kwangwey: Oct 16 2014, 10:53 AM

But I don't know how she charges now.

Got my first tatto done by Pip at Jesselton Tattoo in Sabah.. Wanted the hummingbird to look thinner and more vertical like in the 2nd pic but the artist said bigger is better.. ^^;; Addicted to the pain now. Resisting the urge to get another tattoo at my ankle due to employment reasons. This costed me RM300. It signifies 'freedom' to me. Next time bring a friend to help me see the back and don't follow the artist blindly but communicate correctly. ._. if its that size ... it should be a lil more detailed i guess. can't really see much from your picture. but it doesn't look bad. i can imagine you putting more birds or butterflies around it with some flowers or trees. then can probably get the artist to touch up also on the bird that you have
