i wouldnt bother with NGVs. its availability is too limited and u have to cue for so friggin long with the cabbies to fill up.

and dont expect NGV to be easily available anytime soon....currently only petronas has NGV. and we all know that our gov likes to protect their own.

i've asked the price..cost about rm3k only for installation of ngv..tank depends on your boot..take only 1/3 or half..
*
3k+ only for carburettor cars, e.g. saga/iswara. for efi cars, it will be from 4k+ to 6k+, depending on type of system.

is it worth to spend 4k-6k for NGV system rather than save the money for fuel?does it require regular maintenance?have to consider other factor also like the availability of the station..If penang just got one, not worth for me to install one rite now..

What's the use of torturing your car just to save a few bucks and then use more $$ to fix your car?

for people who travel a few hundred KM per day...they won't just save "a few bucks". The amount they save per month...could reach up to a few hundred bucks. So if you're one of them, would you not consider NGV as well?

My car is using RM0.35 per km, at the price of RM2.70 per litre.
NGV is about RM0.08 per km, RM0.27 saving per km.
I drive 1,000km per month, that is RM270 per month, RM3,000 plus per year.

Why not NGV?

Well, I would just like to ask for your opinion on NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle) viability in the wake of new fuel prices.

How is the mileage like?

Drawbacks : lack of Natural Gas stations outside of KL/Selangor.

So shoot away people.
*
yeah, long time ago ther's a promotion at carnival jom heboh promote NGV, if im not mistaken rm8 full tank...to modified ur car turn into ngv cost a bout rm2000-rm4000...depends on wut car r u used...the prob is its hard to find petrol station with ngv, if yes, u have to queue up with billions og taxi driver..hahah

But the fella who sells it makes money too what. I am sure they do offer installation and all those things right. Long term the user will gain le because of the sky high petrol price now.
