what is the latest firmware for the diamond? any software out there that can prolong the battery life? or any feature that i can turn off to make the battery last longer?

if i flash the firmware/ROM, will it erase all my installed application? how to flash the firmware actually? can some one provide me step by step guide? Tq

can i copy out the application folder from the program list and put it back in again when the rom had been flashed? will the software able to function? or i need to do fresh installation from the cab file or something? really blur.. some one pls teach me.. ha ha..

problem is i dont have the installation file.. the software already been preinstalled when i got the phone... software such as garmin xt is a must for me .. dont really know how to use map king or etc..

does it make the phone look ugly? make it not so glossy anymore? definitely u can see the firm on the screen rite?

btw, does anyone know when is the 1340 battery coming out r? and how thicker issit the back cover compare to the default one? i think if buy that battery then the pre-cut invisible sheild cant cover d, cos bigger surface..

one more thing, in the midth of scratching my head of how to flash my ROM, wanna try something non official that can prolong battery life specially and boost the system performance so that wont be so laggy...

downloaded some software from the net, but how come only got .xml and etc file.. how to make this software work/install to the diamond?

y mean just copy the entire folder into the program file folder and execute it from the phone? i cant seems to get it working.. when i click on the .xml file the opera browser will appear and that's it.. i suppose there should be a setup file or something?

ok,thanks.. it work.. but how come some of the program got error and cant be open after installation.. hrmm..

now wanna learn how to flash rom.. anyone can recommend good power battery management and high performance and responsive ROM?

how do i back up all my contact before i flash the rom? flashing the rom means only cleared all the \ drive rite? and wont touch the internal storage?
