QUOTE(Baronic @ Jul 2 2008, 04:39 PM) no real difference. Touch FLo 3D is slightly snappier thats all. But i dun use TF3D. U need to use developer Hard-SPL first. Compulsory. the reason i use TLR 2 is cuz TF3D is now uninstallable! so i remove TF3D totally from my pda, free up more memory lol Hello forumers, This is my initial posting here. Since my old days cooking for Hermes (Dopod 838 Pro) last year, my hands were itchy again. So, I've made my mind to cook a ROM for my Diamond and finished my first one based on SEA 1.37.707.1 WWE today. It's not thoroughly done ( I spent only 2 hours) but only tweaking some aspects and replacing the TouchFlo 3D Manilla with the latest version available and is uninstallable. It's a kind of a stock like ROM.I'm using SEA 1.37 ROM because it's by far the most stable and among the fastest one of all the stock ROM ever produce for Diamond. I'm not saying that my cooked ROM is as fast as the original one but... OK la. If any of you would like to try it you can request it here or at XDA-Developers Diamond ROM Development sub forum and I'll upload it when possible. Cyphol, Gua Musang. I have released a new custom cooked ROM GM360D.2 WWE today, July 5, 2008, based on 1.37.401.3 EU WWE version. You can read about it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404953I'm also trying out RemoteTracker anti-theft software capability. It's claimed as 'hard reset safe'. It means, if just anybody took your Device, put another SIM card in it and reset the device (If you've already configured the settings in the first place by setting your emergency phone number etc.), the phone will SMS/email the details including coordinates to you. QUOTE(keishalxy @ Jul 20 2008, 01:28 AM) davidmak, i installed the tlr v3 as well, but 1 thing seem wrong, there's a green line on top of the screen across from left to right... does this happens to your diamond as well? thanks I don't know about it since I'm not using TLR's but I'm using my own GM360D.4 Not 2 Lite. You should check whether TheLoanRanger has packaging any kind of battery status utility bar such as batti alike inside the ROM. If that's the case than of course it's OK. Added on July 20, 2008, 10:12 amQUOTE(MangKoK^ayon @ Jul 20 2008, 09:55 AM) me too I think you won't get it this soon since it's not officially released to public... yet. QUOTE(davidmak @ Jul 20 2008, 02:31 PM) There's nothing wrong with that green line. That is the Batti program. Its a battery status indicator. It gives you a more accurate reading on the battery level instead of that 4 steps battery icon on the taskbar. You can get rid of it by uninstalling the Batti program. Well all I know is that the 1.93 ROM originated from the Middle East. It'll take sometime if SIS Malaysia decides to release a newer ROM. Then again, it may not be 1.93. Could be newer or earlier version. No one knows yet. However, we know that only 1.93 ROM solves the black icon and color problems. The rest stays the same. The speed differences is attributed from a newer revision of TouchFlo3D and the inclusion of .NET Compact Framework v3.5 which is a lot faster than v2.0. I do think that 1.93 ROM solves some graphical artifact problem. I won't urge everyone to upgrade although the improvements are enough to make you do so. This is because it involves risk unless you understand thoroughly what you're doing and why you're doing it. Those who're not sure or want to risk their new Touch Diamonds have good reasons to wait for SIS Malaysia to release a new ROM. I hope soon. Yes, it's from ME but it's never been released there too. It's been made available by some guys (Tom Codon is one of them) who managed to get it through back door. It's a stock ROM but not officially release...yet.
