QUOTE(Baronic @ Jun 6 2008, 12:54 PM) Laggy? hmmm, i'll use for about 24 hours and let u know. I have to do a perfect first charge now first, so regarding battery life, maybe can only let u know in 3 days so i can properly assess. I'll be comparing it with HTC Touch Cruise, running windows mobile 6.1, and give a rough estimate how i feel about it I might be getting mine tomorrowTomorrow i go play with test unit Thanks anyway Guess i shuld hold off my purchase till you reviewed it? Is the gesture thing responsive? As in the flick thing Thanks |

QUOTE(Baronic @ Jun 6 2008, 01:08 PM) Yes, it seems responsive to me. Eh thanks for letting us know UPDATE: Some games i insalled like Hexic and Warcraft 2, the icons in the start menu is totally screwed up, like, can see the shape of the icon, but not wat the icon is. It looks black and has strange lines. But not all games like this. Only some. I'm trying to figure out why. They're all meant for VGA. Hmm Added on June 6, 2008, 1:23 pmRunning the game once and performing a soft reset solves this problem. LOL WTF. I dont really game much on my pda, so i guess its not suc a big issue to me I more interested to know more on usability wise, thanks ya QUOTE(Seaedge @ Jun 6 2008, 01:37 PM) You go where get? |

QUOTE(tencheenian @ Jun 6 2008, 02:23 PM) I just called the PDA shop in Queensbay Mall. They have like 9 units in stock and selling at RM2799. Do you guys think 2799 is the best priceto get this kid? as they mention it will not come with any car kit............................ I think they might offer RM2799 with car kit soon. If other phones i might say yes waitBut this phone/pda has created such a big interest and looking at HTC projection, i guess it will stay steady for quite a while |

QUOTE(Seaedge @ Jun 6 2008, 03:10 PM) well, touch3d already tested via youtube at prototype with 128mb only, and it didnt suffer any hang. now with 192mb and most probably 64MB is dedicated for touch3d alone..? seeing this, i guess touch pro will be the same if not better... I am banking that the touch pro's spec do hint alittle bit bout winmo7 in terms of requirement and the touch pro's capability to run winmo7 when its being released |

QUOTE(Seaedge @ Jun 6 2008, 03:13 PM) now first impression is good. exploring the pda is nice. I usually like slim devices but if its functional enough i dont mind it being bulky tooleft telephony, audio(which i think hard to say or u could just test playback at a noisy enviroment), camera, and connectivity(which i think it is standard). those review ones is actually prototype, so mostly there will be differences with the commercial ones. Added on June 6, 2008, 3:15 pm i usually have a quote for this. If it is useful enough, i dont mind it being bulky. besides, how bulky it is compare to previous phone of mine XDA IIs, XDA IIi, O2 miniS and 9300? yeah... most probably it is ready to port to wm7 if released... Sadly i find it stupid to have a keyboard but no tilting of the screen Hence i am skipping the touch pro The same reason why i didnt mind the tytnii's bulkiness But the touch pro oni slide in and out makes it stupid to use the keyboard imho |

QUOTE(Baronic @ Jun 6 2008, 03:59 PM) wats posted on XDA is a rom from the prereleased Diamonds. Yes ours is the currently latest roms. I guess that is enuff to tempt me to just buy it tomorrow For those who missed second post update UPDATE on TOUCH FLO 3D LAG: I've tried to mess around with Touch FLo 3D, see how much stress it can take. Handling it normally, placing my thumb at the bottom and moving it left to right, selecting what it want, and returning to the home screen, no problem at all. Now as you know besides sliding your thumb around, u can just CLICK it and what you want will appear. Example you're at TODAY screen, i click messages instead of susah go slide from TODAY to MESSAGES. Slight lag occurs when i do this (a tenth of a second? Probably loading time not really a "lag"). Now i tried ABUSING the system = Click on on messages, before messages load, i click Today, click Music, click Programs, click Internet, Click click click click. Basically i'm not letting ANYTHING load, just spamming clicks. A definite lag before what i last clicked finally appears on my screen (about 1- 1.5 seconds). Which is impressive, considering how i abused it like crazy. LOL. I honestly expected it to hang UPDATE ON MAPKING 2007: I have just tested it, and Mapking users will be glad to know that it supports the VGA screen on HTC Diamond, and GPS works flawlessly, despite worries that eGPS since its new, may not be recognized by Mapking UPDATE ON CALL OF DUTY: Works absolutely awesome, NOT using minimal settings, i was able to play pretty well. NOTE: Tytn2 and Touch Cruise was NOT able to play due to heavy lag even with minimal settings. Game was perfectly fine, with except with just a small little, not lag, but looks like the rendering was a bit slow as i looked around, when i used hardkeys and stylus at the same time. NOTE: ALL pdas lag in gaming when using hardkeys and joystick at the same time. However, it was minimal, and call of duty was enjoyable to say the least. SO yes, it DOES have graphic accelerators. Proper benchmarks will be done when i have proper time Thanks man |

So after doing that tweak does it feels fast by your standard?Added on June 7, 2008, 10:49 amLester, i've tested it out, and there IS a marked improvement of speed. Try flicking through your photos. Comparable to a phone or its fast in terms of pda standard? Thanks |
