QUOTE(^Hobbes^ @ Jun 10 2008, 10:28 AM) waiting it to arrive malaysia QUOTE(^Hobbes^ @ Jun 10 2008, 10:36 AM) Eh wats wrong with their batch of Diamonds har? true... it is double edge, but not flexible enough. i admit the prowess of multimedia playback But then the OS is a double edge sword Sure its much more stable and winmo and perhaps faster, but it lacks in software wise I dont know if the diamond and the iphone is on the same playing level I regard the iphone as a more multimedia phone while the winmo devices for more serious stuff QUOTE(Baronic @ Jun 10 2008, 10:38 AM) iphone? i like to have one. i dun hate anyphone... unless those doesnt perform at my expectation.. |

hmm... after all the hype talking about diamond... i went to lowyat yesterday to try that diamond. but then, frankly, i wasnt really impressed. the touch3d is still flawed. no doubt it is nice, but not as smooth as i imagined and watched the demo over the "a week with diamond" journal. however, the size totally surprised me because i wasnt really sure how big is the touch. i thought it might be size of a d810... but darn they made it so sleek. so far that is what i am impressed of.. but switching off touch3d shows the real speed.. and there i start to like diamond.
i was turned off because the price is RM2799 and no nego and i remember candccom selling for rm2588.. no? albeit the touch3d (which i dont worry coz there is firmware upgrade in future), diamond is something that hard to resist for PDA enthusiast. somehow, my heart say "wait for touch pro la.." 256MB ram + Keyboard... okay.. it time to rejoice abit abt battery life
QUOTE(gsmarena.com) Now here's some news that can make the day for any Touch Diamond user. Soon the price tag of 50 euro (or 80 US dollars) can get you an original extended battery for your beloved devices - along with a spanking new replacement back cover to accommodate the added bulkiness. ![]() The new Touch Diamond extended battery BP E270 is an original HTC product with a capacity of 1350 mAh. The new battery and back cover will surely add some thickness and weight to the device, but that would be reasonably compensated by the added uptime. Having in mind the usability issues that the good-looking diamond-shaped back panel brings along, we are a bit let down that HTC haven't made the new replacement cover flat. The extended battery pack BP E270 is a great new accessory but it sounds a bit overpriced at 50 euro (or 80 US dollars). Before you shell out the cash on the original battery, you may also consider a third-party alternative that's not only already available, but also a bit more affordable. The second alternative pumped up battery is by the Chinese manufacturer Cameron Sino and it would only set you back 33 euro (or 51 US dollars). It's rated at a 1800 mAh and comes with a replacement back cover too. This one's flat however, and while we still don't know whether it looks as good as it's supposed to, we welcome the opportunity for making our Diamond-back totally flat-back (those two names actually sound like two different animal species - too much Discovery Channel, we know). ![]() The original HTC replacement battery BP E270 and the third-party solution by Cameron Sino Back to cell phone batteries, we are also glad to share that you can find the official Touch Diamond battery available for pre-order here, while the third-party replacement pack can be found here - both from the online store of Clove Technology UK. Added on July 10, 2008, 11:18 am QUOTE(imgaylord @ Jul 10 2008, 11:04 AM) I found something which might be useful for some people. A software that can make your Diamond works differently from the others and it make use of the built in Accelerometer!! dont see any reason why not~Gsen - Auto Rotation (Specially designed for Diamond!) This is a freeware. I hope sharing freeware is legal here? This post has been edited by Seaedge: Jul 10 2008, 11:18 AM |
