I found something annoying

Like after i finish a call i need to sort of tap on the screen twice to end the conversation, using the physical button feels unresponsive

Dont know how to put it in better words, sorry
laugh.gif
*
I don't hv problem with that to hang up a call just press the physical End button twice the call will hang up without delay.

my diamond now requires a hard reset... now i remember why i stayed away from WM for so long since PPC days...

i was just installing MS Reader and when i did the soft reset to update fonts, it won't start up again...  cry.gif

i can't to even seem to do a hard reset!!!  my phone displays this multi-color screen with the word "Serial" at the bottom when i follow the hard reset instructions.  then it gets stuck there!

how do you guys do your hard resets?

i have now removed the battery to see if this works...  sad.gif
*
Funny what u did to your diamond?I think u actually boot in to spl already, if i'm not mistaken the only way to hard reset now is holding the volumn down button and enter button then reset.

Thanks notworthy.gif

My problem is actually cause by some korean mp3 with the korean character in the file name, this mp3 actually sync automatically to my diamond internal storage and some how i believe it's not compatible with the TF3D because i found that the TF3D cpu usage is very high when i have this kind of mp3 in the internal storage. so end up hard reset and format the internal storage and now running fine.

I just get my Diamond, I'm 1st time PDA users.

2 questions as below

1. How do I set the SMS alert tone for different group ?
2. I have configure the VPN to my office, but how do I able to make them connected to my office network?

Thanks. smile.gif

Congrats .......
1. How do I set the SMS alert tone for different group ?
U can't assign SMS alert for different group, u need to install some 3rd party program to do that.

2. I have configure the VPN to my office, but how do I able to make them connected to my office network?
Start > Settings > Connections > Connections > Add a new VPN server connection

just sharing some info after i had to do a hard reset yet again after tweaking the registry.

from xda-developers:
it seems that quite a few people got their pda to hang after a soft reset while some others say that it has no effect.  refer to thread for more info:

Guys i was trying to run Garmin XT on my diamond. But I really have no idea how to setup it to make it link to the built-in gps. Any hints?
Btw, do I need GPSProxy in order to get it to work?
*
You must generate the file call "sw.unl" and place in garmin folder to make Mobile XT to use your built-in GPS. GPSProxy is not needed.

another tweak found at xda-dev for diamond owner to try out

Adjust screen sensitivity (responsiveness): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\TouchPanel
Value = PressureThreshold
Change from the default dword:00000027 or 34 to dword:000000f0 or 240 in decimal

I am still confused as how to configure my GRPS and 3G wink.gif

They are both not configured yet and i cant seem to find out how to configure my GPRS and 3G settings

Also sometimes it says 3g sometimes it says EDGE

I cant say force it to run 3g or force it to run GPRS?

I did tried in comm setting but still failed laugh.gif
*
Your phone will automatically switch between 3g or EDGE or GPRS depends of signal coverage, by default it will switch to 3g if not available it will drop to EDGE(E) if EDGE also not available it will drop to GPRS(G). But that's still a way to force to use 3g network or GPRS network, to do that tap start > Settings > Personal > Phone > Band

Auto network type will switch automatically, GSM will only use GPRS or EDGE, WCDMA will only use 3G network.
