was wondering can i modified a woofer to amp,as i found similarity bewteen them

What amplifier are you refereing to?

A woofer is still only a speaker, totally different from an amp...
There are two sections: preamp and power amp in an "amp"...

The woofer doesn't have a power section, your signal will most likely sound very very week if you go through the woofer directly... You must at least have one for your signal to be amplified... The preamp is what shapes your sound...

You must have a power amp to amplify your signal...

Maybe you can use it for your guitar speaker?
Not many guitarist use a woofer for their sound, Steve Lukather of Toto uses one... And even has his own signature woofer too...

and a hi-fi woofer is different than a guitar woofer...


Leong7 : you're having just a speaker + a speaker cabinet, ain't you ? a speaker doesn't cost much, and you can't do much of it without a proper amplifier.
even if you buy an amplifier, or build one (but you need good electric/electronic experience to do that), i'm afraid your woofer is more designed to handle music than guitar. But i could worth a try. It's gonna cost a bomb : guitar amplifier by themselves (aka "head") are quite expensive. Cheap amplifiers come in forms of "combo", which are a head + speakers within the same case.
It's like hifi : it's cheaper to buy a Sony all-in-one system (boombox, or whtever) than "Marantz" separate elements.

Is the circuit suit 40W amp?
Is it powered only by 9V?
If so,how loud it could be?
If I powered it to 230V will same configuration,will it burnout?
Is there solution to this?
Can show me the solution?
Last,if i gig with it on 9v,will the adapter overheat?
