is malaysia getting the hd66 or hd67 (uk version)?
can a 720p projector beat a 50" plasma in terms of picture quality? (since image is projected on a big screen, and yet with 720p only, image is less sharp?) This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Jul 3 2010, 10:04 PM |

so, the only reason to go for 720p projector is the big screen wow effect, compromising image quality?

i have done a little calculation for the 100" diagonal image size projection from a throw distance of 12 feet.
if i want the center of the image being 50" from the floor, the projector would have to be placed about 80" high up from the floor (offset included) i'm not planning for a ceiling mount installation. is it simple to install ceiling mount from the plaster ceiling? else, a karaoke speaker tripod would suffice as very tall one is easily available at Jln Pasar. is it possible for the pojector to be placed lower (such as 60" from floor so that i can use a projector trolley), and can the vertical image shift give enough compensation for that? ![]() This post has been edited by Skylinestar: Sep 10 2010, 11:52 PM |

QUOTE(htkaki @ Oct 5 2010, 05:48 PM) decided not to go projector path as it's quite difficult to achieve "man cave" environment in my living room.already plunged into plasma display. i think it's cheaper, less hassle and good enough for me and my whole family. just pray that it can last longer than 10 years, last longer than the previous old CRT. |
