QUOTE(toytoy @ Sep 19 2008, 09:08 AM) Actually I meant to say Low-End, but mistakenly said low profile hehe. I m using normal Desktop as HTPC. I said the card is perfect becoz it only costs rm100 and it supports full HD out htkaki, see you next weekend ar Mega: 6 moon only hit 80jam ar. If i 1 day use 2 jam 6 moon = 360 jam liao leh. Mega still bachelor ar? keke, i thot he's married with 2 kids liao Wokey Abt what time, boss? I wont be around from 12pm - 4.30pm. Huh? 2 kids? Tarak lah. Maybe out-of-wedlock this, you have to ask him. I wonder who has clocked the highest lamp hour.

A little info to support why HD3450 is good for building a HTPC. It's the lowest end of the new ATi 3xxx card. I bought one for RM100 oni hehe. But have to get DVI > HDMI converter for around RM2x. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "Processing of HD video requires large amounts of memory bandwidth. The initial implementation of UVD on the ATI RadeonTM HD 2000 series had restrictions dependant on the available memory bandwidth on a given board. The net result was, at launch, the lowest bandwidth ATI RadeonTM HD 2400 PRO solutions targeted playback of all HD content at 720p pixel resolutions. If the desktop resolution was set any higher than 720p, then HD video decoding would fall-back to software in order to save GPU bandwidth. Subsequent Catalyst™ software updates have improved the situation such that VC-1 and H.264 content encoded in 1080p will play back using UVD at desktop resolutions as high as 1920x1200 (higher than 1080p), however 1080i VC-1 and H.264/AVC as well as HD MPEG-2 content still fall-back to fully software based encoding.
The ATI RadeonTM HD 3000 series of graphics processors features improvements to the UVD engine that both reduce CPU utilization under HD decode and also improve memory bandwidth utilization in order to maintain hardware HD decoding at higher resolutions. The net result is that even the DDR2 equipped ATI Radeon™ HD 3450 will facilitate hardware decoding of 1080p and 1080i VC-1 and H.264/AVC encoded content at 1920x1200 / 1080p desktop resolutions."

Since you aee getting the screen, then just temporary beam it on the yellowish wall. I guess it wont looks good for colour.

Okok, thanks for the info bro.
Bro one quick question.
For building a 106" Diagonal screen, the measurement is 92"x52", so will it be sufficient if i buy a 94"x54" screen? If not how big shud i need ar?
94"x54" only USD39.99
108"x54" is USD44.99
112"x60" is USD49.99 can build up to 115" screen hehe.
