Get it from one of the furniture shop in Penang. Manufacturer is from KL and the shop owner show me the catalog of all type of recliner chair. Lazy boy is currently under promo, single seat should be around RM 1500. But their 3 seaters cost around RM 15k!!!
*

My friend saw it in Harvey Norman penang in JJ. Better give them a call first before you come to Pg. He mentioned 5 years warranty.

bro sorry to ask what is 'jj'... really wish i can own a lazyboy.. tested in kl harvey.. linpek really like it.. but in kl the cheapest is rm1900 fabric surface but all display set will get 20 percent off so the cheapest fabric display set is rm1520 after 20 percent discount

A big thanks to htkaki for letting me audition the hd65. Honestly i m impressed with the image quality and my gf who does not believe 'big picture can be clear' was equally impressed if not more hehe.

Problem is with the rainbow effect. Me and my gf were one of the unlucky ones who can see rainbow. But it was at the beginning that I've noticed very strong rainbow effect. During the later part of the audition I m not sure whether i've got used to it or i forgot to notice 'coz bz looking at good quality pictures hehe'

Is it possible to be cured from the rainbow thingy or can the eye adjust itself to get used to the effect?

Anyway i'll be joining this big family next month 'hopefully'. Now have to find screen , keep money for ps3 and htsf2300 + BDs hehehe. Headache, headache. biggrin.gif

Once again thanks everyone who has helped me and a big thanks to htkaki for letting me audition a few tvs and his precious hd65 hehe.
*
optoma 65 is prone to more rainbow effects compared to other more expensive dlp pj .. however many ppl in avs forum who suffered slight rainbow effects from optoma hd65 claimed the rainbow effect went away or almost none after few days.. but if u suffer from serious rainbow effects then dont even think twice .. just invest in an affordable lcd pj..

did your bulb paucha? for my case below 100 hours half way watching paucah.. anyway optoma's distributor very good .. i bought from hiway laser n they claimed it from the distributor for me very very fast.. Not like our friend who bought AE from the irresponsible rubbish hifi shop who sold him product without a distributor here.. pui! hopefully hd65 wont be like the previous model of optoma .. BREAKDOWN KING!!

i am sure the bulb didnt pecah
i was watching BD half way and work at the same time
so occasionally head turns to watch a bit then continue working.
i didnt hear any breaking sound , the screen just went black and the lamp doesnt seems to light on anymore
when i try to power on it , there is clicking sound as if the HD65 trying to turn it self on.
hopefully i can get back mine asap since holiday coming and i have lots of sealed BD since early August.
*
where did u buy the pj from.. just pass them the pj n let them chase the distributor.. its part of their job

htkaki, my "the other" HD65 semalam also auto shutoff, but can power back... any idea?

toy toy, the the 94 X 54 will do, the sizes they give aredi have extra allowance for DIY
*
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=851041 ... lets keep our fingers crossed that hd65 is not like optoma hd72 that so many users in avs claimed have a design flaw and affected so many of them... the good thing is from the 3 pj reported here all 3 have diff problems so maybe just bad luck.. for hd72 almost all the users with problem had the same problem

My 1st symptoms is like Rx's uncle PJ . auto shutdown but later can power on.
Well i got no complain abt optoma service . They r pretty fast and efficient evnthough they r doing demo somewhere , they still make effort to collect it and try to return to me within 3 days. My room is fully air conditioned almost 18 hours a day ( bro and frens usually gaming in my room after skool ) so heat problem is definitely out . They told me this is a small problem and not that rare mostly probably short circuit ( which i failed to understand as my place is fully protected by surge protector and power conditioner) . I really appreciate vismart / optoma for the fast and prompt reply .
*
Hopefully they can fix your problem soon.. for my case i was 100 percent satisfied with vismart's service.. but i still hope angkong will pohpee my pj and wont breakdown again... i saw the hd72 problem b4 i even used my hd65.. so i followed all the extreme guidelines from optoma avsforum

1) make sure enuf air circulation around pj (my aircon was blowing directly at pj)
2) do not use over 8 hours at 1 go
3) do not restart within 8 hour after shutting down
4) do not move the pj around when the bulb is still hot ( some claimed even slight knocks will damage the bulb when its hot)

my bulb paucah below 100hours at the end.. so i think just bad luck

I heard shutting down means power off totally right? Meaning i can put it on standby and power it on again right? within the time period? If not after 30 mins, accidentally switch off then have to wait 8hrs mar jia lat? hehe.
*
reading back the avs thread, the optoma tech guy actually said kenot move it within 5min nia after shutting down.. but he did say kenot say kenot turn it on within 8 hours after shutting down .. need to wait till the bulb has totally cooled down.. wonder y 8 hours so extreme

er what i heard from the optoma sales rep said as long as the bulb cool down , u can switch it back on .
the more u switch it on and off the easier the bulb spoil , like if u watch 6 hours straight then fine but if on and off 4 to 5 times a day then the bulb wont last as long as u watch 6 hour straight. but again if the myth of 8 hours cool down is true , no point getting a PJ  to suffer  laugh.gif
*
these guidelines r supposed to prolong the life of the bulb.. if u dont follow it doesnt mean it will paucah straight away.. for my case i did everything to prolong the life of the bulb n it paucah at below 100 hour .. maybe i should ask lilian tu where to place my pj for better luck with the pj bulb life..

if the 8 hours cool down is true i would like to recommend these bulbs to the eskimos nod.gif

So far, I have not receive any complaint yet on the bulb 'paucah' (touch wood). All in all, more than 20 units. Only 1 time whereby the bulb burnt open  switched on for testing.

Oh yes, do you guys use automated power regulator for your pj?

how muchy each.. any brand and model to recommend?

Ok, thanks. Maybe I can talk to you when I come down to KL for a viewing. I don't have good experiences with Watts. DSOP mostly sells multimedia pjs, I will check if they have pj for home theater. There are only a few AV stores in Penang and the ones that are around are not really customer oriented.

If anyone knows where in Penang I can view a pj well setup and not being sold at exorbitant prices, pls advise. Thanks in advance.

bro i can demo to u when i go pg.. but i cant promise u when... normally i go at least once a month.. Abt Watts i think u r quite right.. i had the worst experience there..

I hope below are myths especially no.2 - 4.

Cos it's common to turn on projector multiple times in a day. And also during installation, it's common to move projector while switched on.
*
As i mentioned b4 these r extreme guidelines .. and only chicken brand ppl like me will follow the stupid guidelines.. n most of the time ppl like me will get the defect unit heheh
