Is it due to heat issue? One of the indicator is temp.
ycs, do you have the problem again after you switch off completely everytime you use it?
Synco is right abt the switch on/off. It will shortened the bulb life or even damage it.

I didnt have this problem. So far, Synco, ycs, toytoy and you only. Nira_110 with the highest usage (+600hrs) didnt encounter any problem.
Btw, do all of you using 1 wall socket to connect all gears? Anyway, have you contact the technician, Chen?

Yeah, only on weekends that I get to enjoy. Normally, watched 2 movies in a go. If not, 1 movie and play games for a while. Then, switch off again.
My unit is cool after an hour of switching off (watching 1 movie only). Maybe my room is small enough for the aircond to work well.

QUOTE(callmevil @ Nov 4 2008, 03:05 PM) htkaki~~ how much was the courrier to brunei that time? RM300+ Better send your own 'Starscream' to our Bolehland. J_Vansen_S did that. QUOTE i've seen both new epsons the 5000 and the 3000 plus the ae3000
think art from projector review also said that the older 1080UB beat the ae3000 in terms of black level....so what do you think the new epsons would do... How about the 'budget' Infocus X10 (1080P)? I personally auditioned it on last Sat. Its PQ is quite good. The colour is nice too. The drawback is its sheer size. Anyway, this is one handsome pj (for me, at least).

QUOTE(Ninja @ Nov 26 2008, 02:27 PM) I'm still contemplating whether to get this PJ or upgrade to 40" Full HD LCD (currently using 32"). And, is there a place where I can audition this PJ? Thanks bros. Bro, shall I demo it to you at Minas Mogul? No commitment. Or there is another forummer who might be willing to let you audition it. PM me for details and arrangement. QUOTE RM15k for screen and projector? which model is this? I think he is considering 1080p pj which is about RM10K (cheapest). Then, need to buy a long HDMI cable (branded 10m HDMI will sets you back by nearly RM1,000). A 92" or 106" fixed screen from a renowned brand is about RM3K+.

Upscaled DVD will look better on a 720p than a 480p pj. However, it is best to use BD for optimum performance.
Are you in Malacca?

QUOTE(wirelessdude @ Dec 20 2008, 05:00 PM) Yup. Why? Can demo in Malacca? I've demoed BD before but not used to it. They look too real that it feels like video from camcorder, i.e. no movie/film feel. Anyway, am more concerned with DVDs now because I have more than a 1,000 in my collection - almost all original. Is there a lot of diff for upscaled DVD on 720p and 1080p pj? Can be arranged I guess I need not to say more as Jediknight8820 has answered. Btw, heard that there are not many Hi-Fi shops in Malacca.

I think I will upgrade to 1080p in 2010. No moolah to splurge on it. Have to buy a plasma tv for HM first (since the 43" probably couldn't last til 2010) before proceeding with the upgrade.
