How does the warranty work? Send it back to you? AFAIK, local distributor, Vismart does not accept gray import.

I dont know how the international works. The optoma guy in US said Malaysia has optoma repair and service centre and so this should not be a problem. Furthermore, he said so far no problem has been encountered with HD 66 model unlike the HD 65 which give a lot of problem.

C.T Seong, do you encounter any problem with HD65? In my case, only got some minor issues on 3 units.

AFAIK, Vismart will not entertain units that are gray import.

is malaysia getting the hd66 or hd67 (uk version)?

can a 720p projector beat a 50" plasma in terms of picture quality?
(since image is projected on a big screen, and yet with 720p only, image is less sharp?)

See if you can find out via Internet. If not, ask the seller.

In terms of sharpness a smaller screen will generally look sharper than a bigger screen. Some more 720p projector vs 50" plasma (assume Full HD) is no contest - the plasma would be sharper.

so, the only reason to go for 720p projector is the big screen wow effect, compromising image quality?

Hi..

U r comparin apples n oranges.. Its true tat a 50in 1080p plasma maybe sharper in img but how close do u sit to fully enjoy its vdo quality - 3/4ft away??

I sit @ 10/11ft away frm a 9ft screen n its a wonderful experience, especially wif a HD source..
