anyone can help explain for but the upcoming dividend payout which is for FY2021, will there will be any impact with the introduction of new tax rate of 33%?
I am confused as to the new tax rate is for FY2021 profit or FY2022 profit since the budget says it is for assessment year 2022?
Thanks.

QUOTE(xander83 @ Oct 31 2021, 04:52 PM) It is on AY22 but you need to check on what the cut off date for FY as some might be half or quarterly because some companies have their FY end in April or May AY2022 means profit for financial year ending 31 December 2022 right, not the current financial year?

QUOTE(xander83 @ Oct 31 2021, 05:19 PM) AY22 is for tax purposes following calendar date FY it depend solely on the company’s itself as to how FY begins and ends so not necessary FY following calendar date So even FY21 for some company can be ending at 31 March 2022 it will be still taxable for the 1st 3 months so for maybank's case, AY22 is for the profit of financial year ending 31 december 2021 or 31 december 2022?
